Foooooood 😛
When I first got Klaus, I had no idea how vast the world of dog food was! It can be overwhelming. I think I’ve settled into a spot that’s somewhere around ‘feed the dog in front of you.. but also add natural food as much as possible.’ For us that looked like kibble + natural food toppers (eggs, fruits, veggies, etc).. then freeze-dried raw… then freeze-dried + raw toppers… and now almost 100% complete and balanced premade raw. I like to do rotational feeding between a few different proteins to mix it up.
Feeding less processed food options has been noticeably helpful for Klaus. The biggest change is his 💩 Once or maybe twice a day and all I’ll say is, I can pick that sh*+ up with two fingers haha! His skin is less red, he hasn’t had a single ear infection since switching (he had one as a puppy,) and his coat feels more silky with better natural oils.
This beautiful looking balanced raw is from a local company and I love supporting small businesses in my area whenever I can 🤍 🏙️ check them out if you’re in Chicagoland or you can order freeze-dried toppers/treats from their website to ship! Locally sourced, human-grade USDA inspected meats 🐄 🐓 🦃
