Horses, Mules and Donkeys all appreciate a respectful and confident leader.

This mulemanship thing is really very very simple and here it is in a nutshell.

When we allow our mules to move our feet ie. come into our space, lead us off, push us with there shoulders or from the saddle, when they decide its time to walk off or to go to the right or left around a tree, rock or whatever, it is apparent to them (in there mind) that they are the LEADER.
When you demonstrate LEADERSHIP to your mule by moving his feet, be it on the ground or in the saddle, you are allowing your mules instincts to take over, recognizing you as the LEADER, this will then ALLOW him/her to trust you, respect you, have confidence in you, in short look at you as their LEADER. This is what your mule wants more than anything for they are genetically programmed through thousands of years of natural selection to seek out the herd leader.

This gorgeous little mini paint molly mule is so sweet and incredibly intelligent. Once you earn their trust and prove you are worthy, lol, mules are extremely devoted to their owners.

December is always a busy month for us on the farm. This year has been no exception!

Over the weekend, we delivered a herd of six calves to a beautiful property in north Florida, where clients are starting their own herd of small-framed beef cattle. Good luck to Chris and Ingrid on their new cattle venture!

Two more herds were bought by clients in Alva and Avon Park. Lyle and Gracie, pictured below, are crosses between miniature Herefords and Florida Cracker Cattle. We call them crackerfords. They go to their new homes in the new year.

SOLD to a wonderful home. Christmas Minis! Gator is a 4yo mini John gelding. Strawberry 4yo & Tori 5yo are a bonded pair of mini half sisters (must stay together). All under 34”. Everybody is vet checked, coggins, vaccines, dewormed and ready to go. Special price for all three! We can deliver!

We spotted an albino bunny lounging with the cows — until closer inspection revealed it was Mini Pearl's new calf nestled in the grass.

Who has ideas for her name? Bonus points if they're rabbit-related.

Hello everyone!
My name is Lollipop. You can call me Lolly the Molly. I’m only 8 months old but I’ve been untouched until this week. This lady here can’t understand how something so cute (that’s me) could be ignored during the most adorable and impressionable time of my life. Anyway, here we are. She sure does like me. I’m trying to be good but I’m just scared of things that move, oh, and things that don’t. But I’m getting better everyday. I am a very special girl and this lady knows it so I think I’ll be okay and hope to learn a lot about living a good mule life.
