It has been brought to my attention that someone is selling a product (not called THORNIT) which is claiming to have the same ingredients as THORNIT and uses the same formula. This formula is only known to the genuine manufacturers of THORNIT and is a commercial secret so this person couldn't know what the formula is and must be claiming it is THORNIT. I only endorse THORNIT as sold by www.thornitearpowder.com which comes with full instructions, tips on application and a wealth of knowledge - we love to support our own customers. As doggie people ourselves, we like the thought of helping hundreds of pets out there.

Thornit can also be used for stripping hair from ears - Apply half teaspoon to the hair. This makes it much easier to finger pull the hair, as it comes away easily.

Many thanks to all of you out there (wherever in the world you live). We've reached the milestone of more than 1000 likes. Not quite in the same league as many media stars but It means there are a lot of pets and owners out there with ear problems who we have helped. That's what we want to do. Happy, healthy pets are one of the greatest things you can have in your life. They give so much and ask for so little in return.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to tell you that our cover girl (you can see above) has passed away on Monday 15th December. The picture shows her looking down on to her favourite beach. She has been ill for a while now (survived a stroke, losing her sight, going deaf and having a tumour) and old age finally caught up with her. She lived a very good life and was almost 17 years old. You never met Tess but she was the kindest, most loyal, fun loving dog any could wish for she was the best! She will be missed forever. As a mark of respect she will always be the cover girl for Thornit Ear Powder. Here is a picture of her when she was well, smiling and running through the sea down at the beach - this is how we like to remember her

If only she'd bought THORNIT before - here's what Lora has to say..

Well my little brown bottle turned up today I am treating my black lab who constantly shakes her head has smelly brown dischargy ears and is constantly licking her paws till sore !
In fact even after regular baths she still smells
My vet was not much help either prescribed her advocate to rule out mites and said she probably had allergies??
After one treatment my dog no longer smells even with the tiniest amount rubbed around her inner ears and paws and some of the sores she has from licking and scratching
I so wish I'd knew about this when I had my Bernese for years she suffered from canker of the ears and hair loss and nothing helped

Cheryl is happy - here is what she had to say about THORNIT..

I have an 18 mo old Great Pyrenees who's adopted sister is a Golden Retriever. She truly believes she is a water dog too. I thought that the swimming was trapping water and causing ear infections so her vet had her on all kinds of drops and antibiotics. She would cry when I tried to put the drops in...when I could catch her. My mom helped me put a tiny bit of Thornit Ear Powder in her ears last night and I swear, almost instantly she stopped shaking her head. This morning was only her second dose and already she seems so much happier, the trauma from trying to put the drops in isn't there and I'm just walking around the house, grinning from ear to ear, in total amazement. Suggestions to help put THORNIT around your dog's ear canal (not into it). We have a customer in Australia who dips a make-up brush into the Jar of THORNIT, then applies the powder gently on the dog - simple, but effective. Any other suggestions as good as this?

Here is a message from Tony about his dog..

"I would just like to mention that our King Charles Cavalier has beenvery poorly for a number of months with bad smelling ears and red and inflamed skin all over her body. Her paws and chest were covered in scaley sores. However after treating her with Thornit for two weeks she is showing signs of complete recovery. Ther sores and most of the scaling has cleared up, her ears, although still weeping are no longer smelly and her skin is returning to it's normal colour and temparature.

Just had a message from one of our customers - Bonnie Banksy's Pets. "I met a 2 year old lhasa last week for grooming. The vet told owner that he thought dog would have needed to be put to sleep (because of its problems). However, I cleaned out dogs ears and used THORNIT. Gave the owner some and within 10 days ear problems were reduced dramatically. By next fortnight dog was back at vet and ears were clear the vet was so impressed!"

Amazing what THORNIT can be used for. We have groomers who use THORNIT to help pluck out ear hair when grooming breeds like Spaniels, Old English Sheepdogs, Bichons and some terriers. Has your groomer ever used THORNIT this way?
