INSPIRING CHILDREN’S BOOK GIVES BACK TO LOCAL CHARITIES
Fort Lauderdale, FL – Local author Jennifer Blue Rozman will donate 50% of the proceeds from her inspiring children’s book, With You Forever to two South Florida charities in honor of her late mother Gayle Leigh Blue as a means for her legacy to continue. A recipient of the proceeds is Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital with a designation to t
he Love Jen Fund. The Love Jen Fund provides therapeutic, educational, recreational and emergency financial assistance to families whose children are being treated at their Pediatric Oncology Center. The other recipient is Tomorrow’s Rainbow Inc, a not for profit that offers free peer support, to grieving children ages 3 to 18 who have experienced the loss of a loved one. In With You Forever, a grandma’s love lives on as she continues to impart her wisdom through eight animal friends to her grandchildren. With You Forever is a story illuminated with valuable life lessons, positive messages and gentle encouragement to nourish personal growth in children, all inspired by the remarkable life of Rozman’s mother Gayle Leigh Blue. No stranger to the delicate and daunting dance with cancer, Gayle Leigh Blue battled and beat breast cancer for nearly 6 years, but it was esophageal cancer that took her life on September 9, 2007, at the young age 56. A woman, whose contributions went far beyond her family, Gayle was a prominent force in her community serving on local Boards and operating as the Advertising Director for the Sun-Sentinel. With You Forever is an important tool for parents wanting to impart the legacy of a loved one to their children. For example, Suzie the Conch is the voice of "grandma's first secret" and represents the simple concept that a person is beautiful "inside and out." More complex concepts are introduced. "Inman the Trout" finds himself woefully stuck out of the water whereby the message of "have a plan" is revealed as one of "grandma's" important secrets. Parents can easily replace "grandma's" life lessons with the name of the Loved One not present in their child's life. Jennifer Blue Rozman has a Master’s degree in Psychology and spent 10 years serving as a children and family advocate. Jennifer’s son, nephew and niece inspired her to write With You Forever as she wanted Grandma Gayle’s wisdom to have an impact on their lives. No stranger to life’s challenges, within five years Jennifer endured unsuccessful fertility treatments, her mom’s second battle with cancer, caring for her mom while pregnant and ultimately saying good-bye to her mom while becoming a new mom herself. Jennifer’s husband was laid off for 14 months; she sold their home and moved their family while he worked in China for nearly a year. She believes “everything happens for a reason, even when it hurts.” “Life is full of lessons and the earlier we learn, understand and practice these lessons, the better prepared we can be.” Jennifer is a Health and Wellness Coach, becoming a Certified Health Counselor and is a writer for the Examiner in their Fort Lauderdale Kids’ Nutrition and Exercise section.
