The Sweet's litter turn 2 weeks old today! These beautiful puppies all have their eyes open now. We will begin introducing toys, noises and novel objects over the next week.

KIBBLE

Jessica: Hey Emma, I feed a premium brand kibble.

Emma: That’s cool! Not sure what ‘premium’ means?

Jessica: It’s better than the others!

Emma: How so?

Jessica: I don’t know, I think it’s cooked better?

Emma: Hey Jessica, this is how kibble is made, ALL KIBBLE 😉

“Meat meal” is a primary ingredient in most dry extruded AKA kibble, cat food and dog food, and it is made from taking slaughterhouse and fish processing factory remnants that are not edible/used/popular for humans, and cooking them, processing them under very high heat, and dehydrating them into a dry powdery substance that goes into kibble.

Then the kibble maker adds starch to make all of the dry components stick together & cooks it at very high heat again, adds in a vitamin (synthetic) mix as most nutritional value has been lost through harsh processing to bring the food up to ‘standard’.

The balls of kibble are then sprayed with mix mixed fats and appetite stimulants to make the balls of kibble appealing and taste of something.
