This is Patch. The last one I was able to squeeze in with Flo and Bay before my Knee replacement. Patch had a real lack of confidence when I first acquired him. He is still a little unsure but with work and love he will be a very competent Kuri. (See him looking left, to the stragglers down in the gully). The bark is a nervous reflection of his disposition me thinks. I was a very happy when he started running because you can then build on something. ( other than run around yourself, after giving him a pencil and a notebook.)
BAY. as per her sister, FLO. They both have a classy natural disposition. Bay got sick of me but she has style. I recommended some cattle work with another pooch will get her firing again.
There was a not very free moving Ram in the training mob that at the start was VERY free moving. He got sick of the routine.
FLO: Going home with plaudits.
This Pedigree B.C. lady ( aka: Miss Wigglebottom ) came from Animal Rescue up South Auckland way.
Speyed Pure Bred. Booooo!
She was purchased by a working couple. Pretty price too.
Left inside all day, and one day, she decided the "Decor" needed a tune-up. Border Collies should come with a warning label huh.
Only 9 months old but very talented and does not mind dropping down through the gears on sticky sheep.
I hope to sell her very soon. Soon as I get 3 miscreant ladies here finished.
They're good, but just had them all come in heat at same time. As happens!
I will need a chat with the owners me thinks. DONT!!!!
They go fuzzy in the head and so the male goes out it sympathy.
(NO MATE!! It is not gonna be ur lucky day.)
AND I go Bald!!
I am under time constraints with surgery due soon, but apart from dumb-ass me trying to run them "Blind" too soon, they are getting very confident.
The 3rd of the Huntaways that I had here at once. LUX. He was another with only one speed to start. Flat out! He thought the speed signs meant the minimum.
Another very useful Huntaway. He was a little worried about getting a distance between himself and the Boss at the start of working under control.
Huntaway DRUM. This is the dude that none of my saddles fitted. Just here running him thru the ground work. He transferred this brilliantly out mustering. He looked like a "Lock" but ran the show like a "Stand off". Very clever and easy. Gonna be a class act on the hills. Another "head and hunt". He was very reticent about this working for a living. I suggested to him that no Dude I train is goin' on the Dole.
Actually, I put him in the yards and he really got it. Phew!
The CEO got the credit for that one. Thanks honey!! Will slip a little something extra in ur pay packet.
Huntaway time. This is Moe. Once I figured out how to get her batteries out she made huge progress, Her absolute non-stop bark a blessing and curse. The vid is about halfway thru training. She ended up an absolute wonder dog (girl) Head beautiful and stand up walk hunt. Lucky Myles.
The spare dog in the vid? Not running yet "Drum".
A nostalgic look back at my once was life.
Got my CEO to do some backing vocals
Just had to put this up. Well it still is about a dog! Just!
We bring our own cheerleaders.
Good to see Beaudin get a start this weekend. Good team huh?
Joe up from the "Naki'. Will need a firm hand but he has a good stop ("stand") and a good brain.
I have no doubt, with work and time, he will be a quality Kuri.
And "WAIT, THERE'S MORE".! The next generation.
Same bloodlines as CHIEF.
