2 weeks after the accident with my left hand I'm starting to feel positive and the wounds are healing.🥰
Feeding pups with treats tonight, using my right hand, they decide to grab the bowl I'm holding in my left hand. Tear open the wounds on 2 of my fingers. Not going to pretend in lots of pain again and more than a few tears shed. Back to square one. 😪

BREED- MASTIN CROSS

Mae was found with her mum and 5 siblings and taken into our care. Unfortunately Mae's mummy trod on her and broke her leg. It's all completely heeled but does have a little limp occasionally.
Mae is ok in a car, lead, with other dogs and cage trained. Although her mum is a small mastin she's under 30kg at almost a year and slim build so must take after her dad. She's very bouncy and energetic so will need someone to wear her out. She will bark at strangers that come to the house but not when out. She's very loving and likes to come for cuddles. She usually sleeps in her cage or gets on the bed with me ❤️

NAME - MAIA AND TOOTSIE
DOB. - 01/08/2023
S*X. - FEMALE
BREED- MASTIN CROSS

Maia and tootsie was found with her mum and 5 siblings and taken into our care. MAIA is a shy girl, but can be bribed with treats, her favourite thing is to put her head in your lap and then flops for belly tickles.
TOOTSIE is more bouncy and inquisitive than her sister, she absolutely MUST kiss you, she likes to sneak up on you when picking up p**p and give you some kisses.
Both will need lead training but are clean in their kennel overnight. Unfortunately i can't walk that well to get them out.
Although their mum is a small mastin they are only around 30kg at almost a year. I'd say Maia is the most mastin in looks and her gentle behaviour.
They can be homed separately, but do get on incredibly well together ♥️

🆘 1 DOG NEEDS 1 PERSON URGENTLY - A DESPERATE PLEA FOR MAX. 🆘

Max still has no solution for his life and is still in residential kennels click the link below to see Max’s predicament and his story - but in a nutshell Max needs to be in a single dog home, no cats, no other animals - he’s had no experience of small children so I would rule those out also

He is only young - not yet 3 years old. He is plot hound cross. Active. He is house trained, very happy to sleep on the sofa and doesn’t chew or damage anything. He is castrated, fully vaccinated, microchipped and passported - blood tests have all been perfect.

The only solution put to us so far is for him to be placed in a pererra/pound where he could be adopted by absolutely anyone. We don’t want that - we love him but for the safety of the others he can not return home… but equally he can not live for ever in residential kennels …

❓What is the solution? We don’t have one …

❓What are the options? We only have one - the pererra….

❓Where can a dog go that no one wants but he can’t return home? - We can’t find anywhere….

❓Is there any one out there for Max? Pessimism is currently hanging over this answer….

We are hoping beyond hope that there is someone out there for Max and that we can find them very quickly…. It’s no life for him living in kennels. He can’t live in a rescue situation. It is not financially sustainable to keep him in kennels long term.

Have to share this. Do you remember last year Carl would take Alana in the swimming pool to try and strengthen her leg muscles? She would gently and elegantly swim to the steps😍
Well he took her in today as the specialist did say post op it would be good for her. Well here she is today.🙈

Sadie. DOB 20.3.24. Female golden Labrador. She has started her vaccinations and will soon be ready for adoption in Spain or a little later outside of Spain. Weighed 7.3kg on 13th June. Sadie is happy, playful and ADORES water! A happy girl good with other dogs and puppies. Will make a lovely family pet as she is good with children too. If you are interested in meeting her and being considered as an adopter, please message.

Today was Rocky's turn to officially be adopted. All paperwork completed and off he went to his wonderful new home. That's all of Curly's puppies settled. 🥰

Remember Jasper? He went to Finland to an association we have worked closely with for years. They help us to find perfect homes for some of our dogs and provide back up.
This family had recently lost a well loved companion and their remaining dog was really struggling with the loss. Jasper has not only found a loving home but given their other dog another lease of life. Just look at them!! It doesn't get any better. 🥰

Last but not least 3rd vet appointment to transfer ownership of 4 of Curly's pups to their new owners, 5th one on Saturday as all home trials successful. Now home to feeding time. Sorry no photos as was waiting with the Labrador pups.

Second vet appointment for our Labrador pups (Cookie and Lenna with foster families pending adoption) for their next vaccination. All doing really well, gaining weight and healthy. Maj has a slight water infection but a course of antibiotics should sort that. Change to some of the names as chosen by the adopters. Weights now range 7.3kg to 8.1kg so very happy.

Busy, busy day and not finished yet!
Three vet appointments, 9 puppies. 🤣🤣🤣
First little Tokio (yes I know his ears are huge!) and Tia who we have been treating since we took them out of the pound a month ago. They STILL need to be in isolation so cannot mix with the other puppies. So we are splitting ourselves up and one of us stays round the front with them so they at least get plenty of fuss and human contact during the day. They are such sweet happy little souls too but we have to safeguard all the other puppies and dogs.

Unfortunately Sadie's adoption is not going ahead so she is now looking again for her new home. She is a golden Labrador puppy, has her 2nd vaccination today and will soon be ready to leave. I will do an album for her later with more photos and information, but for now here is a little video of the water baby. She soaked everywhere. 🤣

Also been trying till very late last night to sort a couple of dogs and another since very early today. Very tired so signing off today to go do dinner and early night. 💤
Thank you everyone for asking about my fingers. Still extremely painful but could have been much worse. No, not going to post photos but let's say won't be doing fingerprint recognition for a while. 🤣### 🥰🥰🐾🐾

Well despite the messy injury as we were packing up, yesterday's fayre was a huge success. I have finished totalling up (takes a little longer with just one hand 🤣). The final total is a massive €1861.33!!!! This obviously makes a huge difference to our Pawsawhile Dog Rescue and we are extremely grateful. Thanks due to everyone who came along and supported, to the stallholders - I hope you all had a successful day too-, to Coin Carvery at the Pig and all their staff, to everyone who bought raffle tickets, to Debs and John for collecting me and selling the raffle tickets on the day, to Malc and Becs for helping us and manning the tombola stall. I tried to get round all the stalls but I know I didn't personally thank all of you, my apologies, and as we had to rush off after my accident I never even managed to say goodbye to anyone. Worst of all we never even had a post event drink as we usually do!🤣 Last but not least a sincere huge thank you to Kathy Egleton and Furniture Express Spain for donating so many of the fantastic raffle prizes plus giving up their day to run stalls at the event AND donate the proceeds. 👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤

Thank you to everybody who attended or helped at our Summer Fayre. Apologies we left so promptly but I managed to get 2 fingers shut in the van door when we were packing up and it was a bit messy. Full post asap including amount raised but looking good. ###
