I believe we often forget to praise our dogs and really don't appreciate how important it is and the positive affect it has on them. The more we praise, the more we get the results we want.

I'm excited to let you know that my article in Happy Healthy Dog was published this week and it's all about how the gut can affect your dog's behavior.

Since I work with clients whose dog have some level of anxiety, it's important to address the whole dog and not just the symptom of the behavior.

That's why I like to take a deep dive into the dog's lifestyle and diet ... among other things.

When we are tackling issues such as reactivity or anxiety, taking a holistic approach, which includes addressing gut health, can really play a part in the solution.

The gut-brain connection doesn't just apply to humans, it also affects our dogs. What we put in our bodies, or theirs, will impact how we, and them, feel about the things life throws at us (or them). Never forget that!

Wouldn’t it be great if dogs could talk to us? What if your dogs could simply tell you why they’re anxious, explain what’s bothering them…

However, the more time you spend with dogs, the more you realize that they do talk to you…your dogs communicate nonstop! Especially our sensitive dogs. Sensitive or anxious dogs need to believe their trusted human will acknowledge them and meet their need to feel safe and loved.
