🎟️ Raffle in favor of our fosterlings to support our foster homes for food, medical care and care

Dear people, dear friends, dear animal welfare activists, dear animal lovers,

As every year, we are once again holding a great raffle with lots of wonderful prizes.

It is winter, and therefore unfortunately a difficult time for our foster homes on Crete. The winter is also very long in Greece and we are all struggling hard to provide the necessary care for our fosterlings.

With this campaign, we are very much hoping for your support to be able to make as much of a difference as possible. Thanks to your help, our foster homes Maureen, Eleni and Linda will be able to help more cats, especially as many of them are sick and need your help. Not forgetting, of course, our most important goal, the neutering of our stray paws.

LOST CAT 🐱 A lovely tabby cat is unfortunately missing from his owner’s residence in Stalis close to the Abaton Hotel & Nana Beach. He is microchipped & usually wearing a red collar, so if you spot him, please can you reply to this post &/ contact Craig Rogerson 🐾 Thank you 🤗

After yesterday’s very sad news about Frankie, we so needed this warm tale with a happy ending!…and you’d almost not recognise him as the same cat given how clean and healthy he’s now looking!
Aww Pepé, thank goodness you were saved from the streets of Stalis, (he was always hanging around by the ATM machine opposite Akti Restaurant), provided all the veterinary care needed and given a wonderful new home in Germany 🏡 🇩🇪 😻 Doesn’t he look a happy chappy indeed! 😻 Thank you to all the lovely people who were involved to facilitate his rescue 🐾 💙

Please keep an eye out for Koni, who is currently missing from Koni Village Hotel in Stalis. We shared his story yesterday, just before he was neutered at the vets, and taken back to the hotel to be cared for by tourists after, but has been missing since this morning which is very out of character. We need to find him asap & make sure he’s ok, especially as he is soon set to enjoy a wonderful new life oversees living with his rescuers Nicolas Mertzenich , so if you’re currently holidaying in Stalis, please keep an eye out, & take him back to Koni Village if found 🐈🐾

🏡 NEW HOME FOUND 🏡
We are delighted to share the news that a wonderful new home was found in time for adorable cuddly Tiffany 😻 and she is enjoying settling in and getting to know her new moggy friend too 👍🏻 Thank you to her rescuer Lea, her lovely new owner, & all who helped to share this story and send hope for her! Despite the odds not being in her favour what with so many strays needing homes in Crete, this just goes to show that good things do happen when we all work together to help the cats 🤗😻🐾

🙏🏻 HOPE 🇬🇷

The stray cats & kittens do remarkably well to survive against the odds, & we think this survival instinct is driven by hope….HOPE that they will one day soon be adopted and taken into a loving forever home!

And here’s a warm tale with a happy ending, Huey and Bluey, two sorry looking boys found by the ‘Romantic Corner’ end of Stalis.

Shown some care and fed by Daniel and his family on holiday, with one being FIV positive too, they couldn’t bear to leave them behind, so with the help of the local veterinary practice ‘Vetcare’ and our amazing cat rescue volunteer Maureen, they flew off in to the sunset 🛫 and to their new home in Germany, where as you can see from the photo of them sprawled out together, they are both very happy mogs with the most wonderful home and caring owners!

So this just goes to prove that where there’s hope, there’s life! Thank you again Daniel and family 🐾

Thanks to our wonderful cat rescue Volunteer Maureen in Stalis, together with the help of a local resident, this sweet (but very skinny) mummy cat is off to the vets today for a full health check, and hopefully will be neutered too 🤗😻

We need to get as many cats and kits neutered as possible before the end of the holiday season, so if you can please spare any pennies or pounds to contribute towards this, the donation page details will be shared very soon 🐾 thank you 😺

So many of the stray kitties have infected eyes that we need to treat, but thankfully the veterinary treatment in Stalis, Crete 🇬🇷 seems to be so much more affordable than in the UK. I was able to pick up some eye drops for them for less than £4, & this alone will be life changing for this sweet boy’s development and long term health.
Just in the process of getting the PayPal donation link set up, so will share the details of that asap, and then any pennies and pounds that you can spare, no matter how small, will certainly be put to good use here to save many cats and kits 💙 Thank you 😻🐾
