The Hadad Project in Kyrgyzstan: Reintroduction the Migratory Falcons
In a collaborative effort, the World Nomad Union (WNU) PA and Tilad Environmental have joined forces to embark on a groundbreaking project aimed at reintroducing migratory falcons back to their natural habitats. This initiative stems from the historical international, cultural, and economic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and Kyrgyzstan, where both countries share a mutual passion for falconry culture.
Recognizing the similarities in falconry traditions and the strong bond between the two nations, the Hadad Project seeks to strengthen conservation efforts and promote sustainable practices. With the invaluable support of the Saudi Falcon Club (SFC), the project has initiated a year-long reintroduction program in Kyrgyzstan.
Supported by Crown Prince Muhammad, the program encourages owners of falcons to collaborate with SFC so that these falcons can be released back to their wild habitats in hopes of restoration to their populations.
The cornerstone of this ambitious program involves bringing more than 100 falcons from Saudi Arabia, generously donated by the population of KSA, to Kyrgyzstan. These remarkable birds will undergo a period of quarantine in Kyrgyzstan, adhering to the country's requirements to ensure the health and safety of the falcons and their natural surroundings.
Taking the reins from there, a highly experienced international team comprising experts from Tilad and WNU, working under the close supervision of the Ministry of Environment of Kyrgyzstan, will spearhead the falcon reintroduction process. The team's dedication and proficiency ensure the seamless integration of the falcons into seven different regions of Kyrgyzstan, carefully chosen to optimize their chances of thriving in their restored natural habitats.
Through this pioneering initiative, the Hadad Project endeavors to not only bolster falcon populations but also to foster greater awareness and appreciation for these magnificent creatures. By blending modern expertise with age-old falconry traditions, the project celebrates the cultural heritage shared between KSA and Kyrgyzstan while nurturing the harmonious relationship between falcons and their environment.
As the Hadad Project unfolds, it serves as a testament to the power of international cooperation, cultural exchange, and environmental conservation. Together, WNU PA, Tilad Environmental, the Saudi Falcon Club, and the Ministry of Environment of Kyrgyzstan pave the way for a brighter, more sustainable future for migratory falcons in the breathtaking landscapes of Kyrgyzstan.
