For what seemed a very long 2 weeks I finally got to go and pick River up this morning. She has spent the last 2 weeks doing some training with Kevin Reeves from Lyndhurst Kelpies.

After attending a kelpie clinic hosted and run by Kevin back in the summer witnessing first hand how knowledgeable and good Kevin is with kelpies, I thought he would be the best man for the job to start River off with her training and get the best out of her.

I am really looking forward to carrying on the training and getting her out working.

We really love hearing how the puppies are getting on in their new homes.
This lucky boy has stayed relatively local to us so we will get the chance to see him in person and he also gets to go out exploring the moor’s regularly….🏔️ 🐕

Venton Buzzard 🐾

Buzz has always been the puppy with the most attitude, he was the first to open his eyes and the first to be heard barking. What he lacks in size compared to the others he definitely makes up for with his personality.

Finally got around to finishing off River & Finn’s new kennel.

Sire is a collie who is a big strong scopey dog
excels at farm and trial easy to manage but plenty of power.

Dam is a kelpie she is good to work out field or in the yard. (can be seen if required)

The puppies had their first vaccination, microchips and were checked over by a vet today. These two were fascinated by the door stop 😅

I had no idea about dog whistles but very quickly from looking online Logan Whistles seems to be the place to go. Their website is very useful and informative especially where you can listen to the right whistle commands. I went for the Logan Ventura brass whistle.
