It's been a long and trying journey with many ups and downs This is the end I was working so hard for! Randy, now Andy, adores his new family and they adore him!

Randy made an appearance at our Ninth Life Rescue Center event today at 814 lanes! We're here until 4!

Just like a cat, Randy also subscribes to the “if I fits, I sits” mantra! Randy was helping supervise his foster mom doing laundry. But supervising is hard work, and he fell asleep on the job! 😴

Randy “went on holiday” at his friend Amanda’s house for a couple days this week. He got to play with some favorite toys (crinkly ones, please), took a couple walks, and even practiced catching thrown treats (did well but needs more practice). He maximized his relaxation on his mini-vacation, and really let it all hang out!

Randy has visited Amanda’s house a few times, and this was easily his best visit yet. Why? Because Randy knows her and her home. Randy is an overstimulated dog, but when he’s given a chance to gain familiarity, he’s able to relax. Familiarity = less stimulation, and that makes for a very good boy! Our boy went for a car ride last night to visit his friend Amanda for a couple nights. We call it "Randy is going on holiday". I may have a problem with picture taking, but he is so photogenic and handsome. He has the funniest faces.
I'm going to ask everyone to please share this post, we have to find Randy's people! Randy is a 2 year old, high energy dog. He's incredibly smart and very food motivated, which makes training easier. Randy has come very, very far in his foster home. He needs a home without children and with active people who can mentally stimulate him. A running buddy is exactly what he needs. Randy does better initially with females, but will come around with men as he really just wants love. Randy would do great in a home with a furry sibling or 2. Please help us find his forever people, they are out there!!

Every single time we use the ice maker, this guy appears. He loves his ice!
Unfortunately our Randy is still with us and looking for his forever family. We know there is a perfect home out there for him, we really need your help finding it. Once Randy is comfortable with you, he's loving and sweet. He gives lots of kisses. Randy has a lot of energy and needs a family who will run some of that energy out. This can be by running with him or a larger yard to play in. Randy has too much energy for a home with children but would love a furry sibling. Just another video here to show you how well Randy behaves. I feed 5 dogs breakfast and dinner at the same time. Everyone has an assigned spot to eat. Randy was trained to wait on a mat for his turn. You can see how well he does with that. Randy is so smart, there are so many things to teach him!
The number one question I get asked when someone is interested in our boy is, "Does he have any food aggression?" You can see here, no aggression at all. This great guy is still waiting for that forever family to find him. Randy's perfect forever home would be a home with people who have experience with overstimulation and have no young children.

Look how great Randy walks with his foster sister. His leash manners have come leaps and bounds! This well mannered walking guy can be all yours, just apply!

Randy enjoys sitting on the dining room chairs like a human. He is terrified of jumping down because the chairs slide. Our boy will sit here for long periods of time crying and barking for assistance. This is another one of his goofy quirks!!!

Randy is convinced that the new kitchen mat is his. We share it when i use the sink. This goofy, full of personality, smart, and sassy boy could be filling your life with laughter! You only need to apply!!!
Randy is a great guy, getting better everyday! Randy loves puzzles, he hasn't found one that he couldn't do. He knows sit, stand up, paw and other paw, lay down, roll over, kisses, leave it and wait. He's the smartest boy I've worked with. I promise, Randy would be a great best buddy!!!!

Just a lazy Sunday afternoon. Seems like a perfect day to chill with your best buddy and take a nap. Randy is so dog friendly, he hasn't met a dog that he didn't like and he meets many in his foster home. Randy would be a great addition to a home with another dog, especially a young one that would play with him! In his foster home there is a mix of ages and Randy is great with them all. The oldest in the home wants nothing to do with him and Randy respects that but still occasionally tries to be friends. He's such a good boy.

On a sunny day, this is where you'll find Randy. He loves the sun and will just soak up those rays with you or without!!
We know there is a family out there, with no young children, who has dog experience, and is looking for a new best friend. Someone is looking for a dog to sleep against them at night. A dog to go on walks, hikes, or runs with. A dog who will follow you to the bathroom and supervise so that you don't feel lonely. Someone is looking for a dog to make them laugh on a daily basis. My point is that there is a family who would benefit from the loyalty, laughter, and love that Randy would bring to their lives.

Rub-a dub-dub, it's Randy in a tub!

This silly boy started to drink up all the water at first and then plunked his behind in the water when asked to sit. Randy followed each command perfectly while in the tub.
