WE CARE ABOUT OUR SENIOR DOGS!

Older dogs need special love and attention. They may be nervous or timid during their grooms. Usually they tend to adjust very well and even enjoy themselves.
But many suffer with muscle or joint pain. This means they may be stiff or a little sore, which, in turn, makes them apprehensive. Their legs, hips and shoulders don’t move as easily as a young dogs.
They need a more gentle approach. We need to show them patience and empathy.
These are the times when THEIR comfort is more important the perfect look or haircut.
These babies appreciate when we are respectful of them. It shows in their eyes and their demeanor. And as the grooming session continues, they become more and more at ease.
It is so important to us they they leave us feeling happy and relaxed. And with each time they see us, more trust is earned.
So please know…that we really do care.

DOG PARENTS:
If you notice anything small that you would like changed with your pets groom within a 24-48 hr period, please let us know. We will gladly change it free of charge. After this time we do have to charge a trim up fee.
Keep in mind that different groomers create different outcomes. So if something specific is wanted please let us know.

A QUICK REMINDER TO OUR DOG PARENTS:
We only perform ear hair plucking if you specifically request this service.
Plucking small amounts of hair from the ear can be used to allow more air into the ear canal (and therefore less moisture & wax build-up). This MAY help prevent bacteria formation/infections.
But NOT all dogs tolerate this well and some will argue that it also can create microscopic tears, allowing already present bacteria in.
So please know, that this will not be done unless you ask for it.
And be assured , that we will always clean the ears with top quality solution and/or lightly medicated powder to help dry out and clean them.

Sweet little Otis just left with his mom to his wonderful home! He has a big family that loves him and was missing him very much. But I was very lucky to care for him for a short while. This is a good morning! Thank you for your help everyone!

Sweet Abby had her coat washed, conditioned, blown out and brushed through. She felt like a new dog afterwards! No clipping for this girl because she has her important double coat that protects her skin and helps regulate her body temperature.
She DID however, get to sample some of our nutritious, delicious treats today while she spent time with us. Nothing like some pamper time and food to make this energetic pup content.

This sweet girl kept us company today.
This beauty takes a significant time to bathe, much longer to blow-out and brushing through this coat to release any tangles or matting can be time-consuming. Then include a scissor trim, nail and ear cleaning, paw pad tidy up and the maneuvering and handling of a dog this size….and yes, prices are going to be higher.
We will be setting aside one day a week for LARGE DOGS ONLY very soon!
