Hi all, it's been a minute!

We have quietly been back at it though since the start of the year. We have new extractor equipment, which means more frames spinning and quicker!

The next few months will be full on with us checking all the hives and extracting as much as we can before winter. The exciting part is this means most likely our dark honey is not far away!

So yes, we do have lots of honey with lots more to come! 🐝🐝

🐝🐝 Today's rescue was a little bit fun with plenty of honey comb. The bees made a cosy home in a compost bin. Garv was able to gently remove the comb, locate the queen and welcome her to her new home. He will return tonight to collect the box and move them to a new location. Welcome to fam bees! 🐝 thank you Karen Johns for the photos. 🥰

The first hive Garv bought 3 years ago was a Flow Hive and it's our first day giving it drain. Practical for those who only want one hive and honey for themselves. Not so practical when you have many hives surrounding it and all the other bees trying to steal the honey as it's coming out. 🐝🐝 🍯

It's a nice day to be out and about visiting the new hives at fernvale. It is also so dry out here, we desperely need some rain.

🐝🐝It's all been happening here at our HiveHQ in the past couple of weeks since we returned from NZ. We managed to sell through 101kgs of honey in that time, which is absolutely amazing!!! We cannot forget the honeycomb sales on top of that too.

It's also business as usual with the never ending frame building with Spring just around the corner although it feels like it has already arrived. 🫠

AND.... We have more excitement coming our way this weekend with another extraction hopefully in the works and the possibility of picking up some more local hives along the way. Watch this space! 🐝🐝

🐝We are getting excited for swarm season. As the weather warms up, so do bee hives and the bees will often swarm. Check out this throw back of a rescue from our own hives. Back to your home little bees. Hopefully we will have some new hives to add to the family this year🌻
