Every photo submitted will be in the calendar, and your wonderful pup may be selected to be the main event of the month! This is a fund raiser - $10 for one picture or $25 for three! Or $50 for six! As you probably know, shelters and rescues are full. We don't want to turn dogs away, and could use more foster homes! It's fun! It's a great way to learn about Aussies! And you might find your new fur baby! We could also use help with transporting dogs to foster homes.

New Spirit will be at 2 events Saturday October 21! These are the final events for the fall! Come out and get your holiday bandanas and goofy magnets - they make great gifts!

The AppleUmpkin Fest in Adamstown, PA. Come and enjoy a fun filled family day with pumpkin decorating, build a scare crow, costume parade, apple peeling contest, homemade apple dumplings, carnival games, craft stands and plenty of great food. Hours are 10am till 4:30 pm. Adamstown is also known for wonderful antique shops!

Autumn Alive! in Quakertown runs from 10-4 - besides so many great vendors, there is a rescue area with - of course - a pet costume parade! Live music as well!

***UPDATE!!!
DogFest in Baltimore has been rescheduled for November 4th. Barktoberfest in Macungie is still on but we won't be attending.

There are two great events this weekend that New Spirit will be at! Come on out! Learn about Aussies! Get some holiday bandanas and goofy magnets! (Not only are they great for your car, but also your doors, desks, etc!) Both events are on Saturday October 14. It's that time of year when the dogs dress up, so these events are always fun!

Dogfest at the Baltimore Humane Society in Reisterstown, Maryland from 11-4. There will be vendors, food trucks, dog demos, contests, activities for dogs & kids, plus so much more! Raindate is Satruday November 4.

We'll also be at the original Barktoberfest Pet Fair in the beautiful Macungie Park in Macungie, Pennsylvania from 11-3! Another spooktacular event featuring training demos, blessings and great vendors. There is no rain date for this event - it's rain or shine. But if it's raining, New Spirit will probably stay home and snuggle with their dogs.

This Saturday (August 19) is the very fun Animal Rescue, Inc. Dogs' Day on the Park! 10-4 at the Marge Goodfellow Park in New Freedom, PA (south of York.) This is such a great event with so many things to do! The favorite lure course, contests and new - Doggie Train Rides! Of course New Spirit will be there with our famous bandanas and magnets! Come and meet Janna and learn about the wonderful Aussies! This is a wonderful family event with so many things to do! Bring ALL the kids - 2-4 legs - and have a great time!

Meet Osi, a lovely gentleman from Puerto Rico. You may have noticed that we have rescued a number of dogs from Puerto Rico in the last year. For those in the Pittsburgh area, New Spirit will be at the Hearts and Paws 17th annual Pet Adoption and Care Fair on Saturday, June 16, 9:30 - 3:00. Come enjoy the day! Lots of rescues, pet products and services, ask the vet, Kid's corner and animal art, festival food, and a huge silent auction and boutique. There will be something for everyone!

New Spirit will be at the booth with lots of information on Aussies, volunteering and adopting. We'll also have summer bandanas for your dogs to dress up in, as well as magnets and other wonderful dog items! We'll be sharing a booth with Speak for the Unspoken. New Spirit will be at the Paw Prints on the Canal event this Sunday, June 11, from 11-4. This is a fund raising event for the Northampton Police K-9 Unit, but also a chance to stop by our booth and pick up some summer bandanas, and goofy magnets to decorate your car or fridge or front door.

This a a big event with a new dunking booth, raffle, K-9 demonstration, rabies vaccine and microchip clinic, a sharp-dressed pet contest and so much more!

We're excited to finally be there again after the COVID hiatus! Looking forward to seeing you! Bring the well behaved dogs, the kids, and your cousin!

REECE UPDATE!
Reece is LOVING living in a house - follows her foster mom around like a little duckling. Eating, sleeping. Sleeping because she is safe! No real medical issues - finally got all the ticks off and being treated for the expected tick-borne diseases. And - eeewwww - no worms!

Again - a HUGE HEARTFELT thank you to all who stuck with her. And to all the people who couldn't help physically, but kept this little girl in their hearts and sent her good vibes.

Here she is enjoying a warm, soft sofa.

REUNITED!!! After almost 4 months on her own, Reece walked into a trap and is now safe, warm, clean, well fed and being treated! This little girl survived on her own for so long! Welcome back, Reece! A HUGE thanks to ALL involved in her capture!

UPDATE. We're feeling confident she is staying in one undisclosed area and will hopefully go in the trap.

We know you want to help but the best thing to do is stay away. Send her lots of good vibes and picture her going in the trap.

Please help! One of our foster dogs escaped during transport on 01/21/23 near Center Valley, PA. We've had sightings and set traps and cameras but she is VERY shy and will run if you call or look at her. If you see her, take a photo and call us at 484-988-0959 or message us. She's a little thing - only 25 pounds. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CATCH HER - she'll just run further! She's micro chipped and spayed. Please share.

UPDATE: The DogFest continues, but New Spirit will not be attending this year. Our volunteer has a family emergency and we wish her peace.
This Saturday, New Spirit will be at the Baltimore Humane Society's Dogfest at 1601 Nicodemus Road, Reisterstown, MD. This is a great event, with LOTS of activities for the 2-legged and 4-legged kids, and even the 3-legged ones! And since it's that time of year, Halloween costume contests! Our booth will have colorful bandanas (you know you need some for those holiday photos) and funny paw magnets for sale. Come visit us! The weather will be a lovely fall day!

Baltimore Humane Society’s Adoption Center and Spay/Neuter & Wellness Clinic will be closed this Saturday, October 15 for DOGFEST! Get your tickets online at www.dogfest.org or at the gate!
