Boo is an almost 2-year-old unaltered totally white male French bulldog that the original breeder is surrendering. I talked to her at length this morning. She had him for a year before giving him to a lady that returned him after a couple of months because her plans for housing fell through and she couldn't have a dog. There were no problems with Boo at either home.
A friend has had him for about 5 months and again no problems until a couple of days ago. The lady got in the shower and Boo got in with her. Her other Frenchie jumped in and Boo bit the lady on the ankle (not breaking skin). Later on, she was sitting on the couch and she gave her Frenchie a treat and Boo, who was next to her, bit her on the arm causing a bruise. Again, no break in the skin. The breeder says she is picking him up from the friend on the 28th and she doesn't know what's going on with him. She said he is sweet and loving and this is unusual behavior. He has been around multiple other dogs, kids, men and women with no issues. He also knows a little sign language, is house and crate-trained and weighs 24lb.
I know there are folks that absolutely LOVE Frenchies that might want to foster-to-adopt this guy despite the "nipping" issues.

Please keep Poppy and Janice (her foster who loves Poppy very much) in your thoughts today. Poppy Devana who has already had one surgery because her palate was down in her esophagus and a mass cell tumor on her leg is having surgery again this morning to remove a mass cell tumor from her v***a and possibly thinning her palate out. Happy Gotcha Day to little Molly McCune who was adopted by two of my favorite adopters, Chris and Lisa. She couldn't have got any luckier. We all think Josie had a hand in sending Molly to them. Keep us updated with lots of pictures.

I haven't had this much trouble getting good photos since the last Blue Angel practice I went to. Boglens (Boston Terrier/Beagle) can have a ton of energy and Ms Addie is not exception. She was trying her best to chew on my sandals. Stubborn, loyal, and always on the prowl, Boglen Terriers can make surprisingly good watchdogs despite their small statures. With even a small amount of training, these intelligent little dogs can be taught to identify potential dangers and sound a barking alarm. Jasper is a bit more timid than the others and I imagine he could be a real snuggle bunny. Did you know Boglens do well in large families with children? Esmee is not timid and she expressed how displeased she was with me when I took the Dremel to her nails. Look at that Haggerty Spot! A big shout out to one of our application processors, Lisa Bradshaw. She spent hours on the phone helping a 81 year old get Zoom setup so she could do a virtual home visit. That's going beyond what is expected! Our processors don't get enough credit because they are behind the scenes. Thanks, Cindy, Susan, Eve, MaryBeth, Ann, Diana This is a major part of rescue.

Howdy friends! Can you believe our last post about Sam Sam on February 2nd was seen by over 18,000 people but he still has no adoption applications!? Sammy enjoys playing with toys, chewing bones, and playing with other dogs! He is blind but sees some shadows or shapes, has supersonic hearing, and gets around so well! He's fearless and will jump on/off the couch and can navigate going out to potty in a fenced yard and back to the door. He's only 5 years old, house-trained, and small enough to pick up and smooch at 24 lbs. Loves to cuddle. Adult-only home, other respectful pets okay. What are you waiting for!?
