It's been a week since Pillsbury went up to heaven. I'm sure he's having the best time. The kittens are keeping his donut bed warm for him, too... and now that the weather has turned cold, we're glad he's staying warm where there's lots of sunshine and warm fuzzy beds.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do with Pillsbury's page now that he's gone. After his fundraiser for Tiny Paws is closed, I may close the page and leave it up as a tribute to him. We'll see.
As of 2:10 am, our sweet special Pillsbury is in heaven ❤️✝️
Our sweet fuzzy boy is not doing well tonight. He wouldn't eat today, then something happened when he was in the bathroom to eat -- he fell, but I can't tell if something else happened. He may have had a seizure. He's not acting like himself, but he's comfortable and a little active. I'm concerned. Please say a prayer for him.

We're back to biting our tongue when we eat, so we're also back to puréed food. If he eats, I'm happy. Food is good.
He's also started to meow when he's hungry. It's really kind of cute.
In the litter box and so very confused

I dropped a spoon on the kitchen floor this morning. Pillsbury spotted it and it immediately became a toy. He swatted it over to the food bowl, where he started digging - DIGGING - the food out of the bowl for fun. We are definitely going to take these skills and build on them now!

Guess who's got an appetite again! It must have been an upset tummy. Gotta start making his food fresh as possible.
Our buddy isn't feeling too great tonight. He was sneezy this morning, then had an upset tummy tonight. He's finally resting... I'm worried about my lil dude :(
Ladies and gentlemen we have a COLD NOSE and a FULL BELLY!
Small update: Pillsbury seems to have kicked the infection, but we still have an abundance of nasal crud. Keeping up with antibiotics and staying on top of breathing treatments to loosen it up. May try baby doses of mucinex if this doesn't clear up in the next few days. We've used it before with very sick kittens, it tastes nasty but it does dry up the snot. But he is acting much more like the sweet Pillsbury he is now :) we appreciate all your support and thoughts and prayers!
I got up to take medicine for my blasted knee and found this. This is Lucky. She has a little nub for a tail. She was found under the hood of a car a few months ago. She's not 100% sure people are cool, but she loves Pillsbury. I've caught her hanging out with him every night this week.

Someone fuzzy and special has taken at least 3 adventures around the house today, ate an entire bowl of food, took his medicine, and does not have a snotty nose!!
Breathing treatment for my stuffy boy. We switched from clavamox to azithromycin today. Decent appetite, not significantly worse or better. Lots of yellow snot :(
But he went on an adventure down the hall today all on his own!! Making progress, just have to kick this respiratory bug.
Pillsbury is still fighting this respiratory bug. If we can get past this, he'll be just fine. We've been doubling up on his antibiotics but his nose is still super snotty. His appetite comes and goes, but we like food with cheese in it. We're going to try a saline breathing treatment tonight and see if that helps him de-snot some more.
He ate a little after I got home and almost fell asleep in his food. Then he finished off the bowl before bed. I hugged him and he burped.
It's cold here tonight...we like to stay warm.

Pillsbury has had a rough couple of days with a kitty cold and hasn't eaten since late last week. Now he's on some high powered antibiotics and tonight he ate most of a bowl of food! Praying for more progress and improving health
New favorites: tuna and egg, chicken baby food, and goat milk. Pillsbury has developed a problem with biting his tongue (we think) so the mushier the better.
I dropped the fork and he started batting it around earlier. You need to see him play - we'll get some video of that this weekend. He is something else

When I have a hairball, I sneeze and my human has to burp me like a baby. It's kind of embarrassing but I'm glad they understand, and they don't pick me up around my belly when it doesn't feel good.
I like my little bed, too. Nite nite.
Oh -- I forgot to tell you -- the kittens like to chase the red dot, and tonight I tried to chase it too. That was fun. And I talked to my humans tonight, they liked hearing my voice again. Sometimes I have a lot to say, it's just hard to get it out. I'm trying hard, though.

Someone also found the laser light tonight and really thought about chasing it. New favorite food is flaked tuna with egg; it makes him belch. We like warm milk and food cut up so he doesn't bite his tongue when he eats. That's no fun.
In honor of Giving Tuesday, all profits from Pillsbury's human's Jamberry site will be donated to Tiny Paws Kitten Rescue, a neonatal kitten rescue in Stillwater, OK. While Pillsbury wasn't a bottle baby, a lot of his siblings were, and we believe all lives deserve a fighting chance.
I guess that's...comfortable? 😂
This bottle was full. I shared a little bit with Lucky, but the rest? That was all Pillsbury!!
I put him in the bed so he can take a nap in it instead of on the floor.
