One of our worst happened last week. We had to say goodbye to the matriarch of Frankie’s Farm. There are so many things we could say about sweet Booboo. We’ll just leave this here…her life mattered and she was so very loved. We KNOW she’s in a better place and running freely with her old friends. We’re so happy for her, but very sad for us. Rest well you old gal. ❤️

Here’s to a better weather week!The water is already gone-thankfully! It’s a good reminder that everything is temporary and this too shall pass. We’ve been through so much with these animals for the past 11 years. With each calamity, we lean on the fact that we’ve gotten through it before! We ❤️ our volunteers who see the big picture and keep showing up-rain or shine!

A few of us were able to make it to the barn yesterday!🙌 Misti got a much needed break! Hoping the meteorologists go back to being wrong and nothing comes our way this afternoon! Our animals are amazing and battle tested! We ❤️ them so much!

Day #2 of Winter Storm 2024. Do you believe in fate? We sure do! What would we do without volunteer Misti who lives back the lane from the barn?! Volunteers can’t get to the barn because of the treacherous roads. If not for Misti… Well, thankfully we don’t have to worry about that because we’ve got her! Most importantly, so do the animals! When you support us through donations (monetary and gently used items that we need), you don’t just give to the animals, you bless the volunteers who care for them. ❤️ She’s even had to become a cow mom these past few days (video in comments)! Please let Misti know how much she’s appreciated!!

Everybody wants somebody to do some “thing”. But nobody can do some “thing” without everybody’s help. We know times are tough. $5 adds up when a lot of folks donate!

It's the last Friday of the year, so of course we would get called about a dog left on the side of the road after being hit by a car. Clearly we can't have a quiet year end.

Trace is a probably 1-year-old lab mix that had the good fortune to be found in a county with a good animal shelter who reached out to us. His x-ray is in the comments, but it boils down to a broken hip and a shattered femur. His teeth are also broken, most likely from scavenging for food for so long.

Trace's leg is not salvageable and an amputation is the only thing we can do. He is in rough, rough shape and needs everyone's best thoughts and prayers.
