It’s been a minute since our last post. This year, we decided to focus on getting last years puppies ready for the show ring to hopefully get a few of them to the 2024 Samoyed Club of America National Specialty in Corpus Christi, TX. The specialty was last week and our results were beyond our wildest dreams:

🏹CH Wild Spirit’s BIG Girls Don’t Cry 🏹 - Prim
Prim was awarded the 1st Award of Merit by respected Breeder Judge Martha Lageschulte in an entry of over 115 dogs. Prim is out of our Sadie x Mr. Big litter (Can CH Vanderbilt’s Strike it Big).

🌪️ CH Wild Spirit’s Peppermint Twist 🌪️ - Twister
At just 13 months of age, Twister was awarded the 2nd Award of Merit (AOM2) in the same beautiful lineup of beautiful Samoyeds. For him to come home with a BIG boy ribbon this year at such a young age is just remarkable. Twister is out of our Aster x Salty litter (BIS BISS Can/Am GCH Vanderbilt’s Salt N’ Pepper).

💫 GCHB CH Bark Bark n Wild Spirit’s Desert Star 💫 - Aster
Aster was awarded 1sr place on the Brood Bitch class on Friday under Breeder Judge Tina Leininger. She won on the strength of the get from her only litter - sired by Salty (Twister 🌪️ and Minty 🍬). She also competed in the Best of Breed round and made it all the way to the final cuts. There is absolutely no QUIT in this nearly 7 y/o and she still loves to show.

🫶 Wild Spirit’s BIG Dreams 🫶 - Grace
Grace won a big OPEN class in Bi***es class under Breeder Judge Tina Leininger on Friday. She also showed beautifully in the Winner’s Bitch round and we are so proud of her. Grace is from our Marcy x Mr. Big litter.

🍬 CH Wild Spirit’s Peppermint Bark 🍬 - Minty
Minty helped her mama to her Brood Bitch title as one of her get. She also showed wonderfully during the breed round. Like her mama, there is no quit in this one. Minty is also from our Aster x Salty litter.

We are so grateful to continue our mentorship with Master Breeder Judi Elford (Vanderbilt Samoyeds) to help bring a new generation of Top-winning Samoyeds forward.

While we will continue to develop these wonderful young Samoyeds, we are making plans to continue this effort with more more litters in 2025. Watch our page for updates.

It’s been awhile and we’ve been settling in after a busy 2023. It’s always nice for us when our puppy families give us such great updates. Today’s was from 5 month old Mochi (Aster x Salty), who is living his best life in the Los Angeles area. He’s being a very good boy and bringing all the joy to his new family.

The holidays are a great time for reflection and thankfulness for us… the past year has been one of great change in our lives… Most notably, with the help of our great mentor (Judi Elford - Vanderbilt Samoyeds), we were able to successfully breed 3 litters and add 4 more fantastic puppies to our home here at Camp Wild Spirit. Just as important to us were the friendships formed and rekindled as we became more immersed in the dog life. We treasure these relationships and feel blessed to have so much to be thankful for. We hope you all do as well!!

Merry Christmas and Happiest of Holidays to all our Samily and friends from Wild Spirit Samoyeds.
