Merry Christmas friends! I got to pick out my present this year and got to get some Starbucks. Now to enjoy the second part of my Christmas gift. A “vacation” with human’s brother. My favorite pet sitter! We are vacationing here in my house.
Today I was a very brave orange boy, as I had to get 3 jabs at the vet today. I didn’t even hiss. Just made one set of airplane ears.
Later human’s brother stopped by so I could smell his forehead. Well and cuddles, but in this photo smelling his forehead is the important part.

Friends! So human is very very behind in updating you on my life. Her dancers' recital is this weekend so she is busy preparing for that. But I needed to show you something awesome! A while ago humans were at a coffee shop and saw Fuse Sticker designing something adorable on his tablet. Human commented how cute it was, and Fuse Sticker mentioned they had a sticker business and gave her a few stickers. Little did he know how much human and I like stickers! Human contacted him about making a sticker of me. Look what he created!!! While my regular small stickers I always give out to people myself, if you want one of these you can purchase them from Fuse Sticker's Etsy store and support my new friend's small business. These are big, have a nice sparkle, and were created by a pretty cool designer.

Today is my adoption anniversary! So the page isn't around anymore for the cat café I was adopted from 😿. So I can’t share the initial post. But human had an idea to take my picture next to the photo from our adoption day. I refused unless there were treats. It went as you might expect. So happy 7 years of loving the best orange boy, me!
Today is the anniversary of when humans came to just pet some cats. And they started to fall in love with me. Not adoption anniversary yet. This is what we like to call our first date!
It is my birthday!!!! Happy approximate 9th birthday to me. This is the day I was rescued by the Columbus Humane society (not adopted that is next month) and what we call my birthday. Currently waiting for whipped cream
Tall human’s friends sent us a Halloween card, on the back there were instructions to give me treats! Human complied, and I had treat on my haunted house. Thank you Thomas (a human), Brittany (a human), bruiser (a cat)! I added their card to my haunted house.

Hello friends of Maxwell Pepperoni!
This is his human here and we need a recommendation.
It is time to toss our current fountain. A year ago it started to become more difficult to get filters for the fountain, and then they weren’t working as well. He has a regular water bowl as well (that has to be on opposite sides of the apartment because Max has a lot of ideas about things and their placement). The fountain in general has always been difficult to clean. There are a lot of spots that get gross, and even with brushes it’s hard to clean. The whole process is about 20 minutes, and I usually get the entire kitchen soaking wet. It also takes forever for it to dry, and due to the shape you can’t even really hand dry it. He rarely drinks from it anymore, but is mad if it’s not out.
So we need something else! Main things we are looking for:
The main part is easy to clean
It doesn’t need to have any “smart” features
Do not want one that has a light
Prefer if it isn’t super loud.

I was very excited to check out the mice. There was a VERY loud bird who seemed content to yell as loud as possible.
I was working on my modeling pose, but tall human’s ear had to photo bomb me. 🙄. We managed one photo without him.
When you think you are going to Starbucks and find out instead you are stopping at the place where the scary bags live (dry cleaning) because tall human needed his pants, and Starbucks is right across the street.
We did get whip cream, but I don’t need to visit the bag place again!
Happy birthday, Human! Though your lap is the wrong size, you are the best to snuggle with. I’ll try not to be *too* crazy today. (Tall human helped me type this 😽)

Sometimes when human is cleaning, I like to help by sitting in the middle of everything. Specially things she plans to throw away or things that are dusty. I am such a helpful cat! And possibly a sneezy one, we will see later tonight. Apparently dust usually makes me sneeze.
Happy Birthday Tall Human! You have the best lap for sitting, and always take my favorite suitcase on fun trips, plus mousey, and I love you!
Friends I have bad news. Did you know human left human’s brother a long list of rules, and one of the rules is to not give me too many treats. I had some big plans about doubling my body weight while humans were gone. That plan has been squashed. Please observe my distress in this photo.
Humans are on vacation. So that means human’s brother is on a vacation to see me! We are having a great time. Also happy 4th of July!
Friends, I am so sorry there has been a distinct lack of posts from me. Humans have been busy, and then human was sick for awhile when tall human was out of town.

Today was a fun day. Tall human had some people he works with want to meet me! So I went to visit them after their lunch break. Since it was nearby I got to ride in my pizza bed in the car!
We also stopped at Starbucks for whip cream, and some of my favorite baristas were there, and excited to see me! They told me they all compare who has what stickers of me. Clearly I need to make more!

Recently tall human ABANDONED us! Well he had to go on a work trip. But still. He was gone too long. But mousey did get to go with him. Something mousey hasn’t done in several years. So I guess I forgive him. Please enjoy mousey’s trip to Okinawa. 🐭 🇯🇵
A few weeks ago I went to visit my good friend at University of Dayton School of Law. They love me! I love them. And I really like old books, and 5e law library have loads of them. It was a very fun day!
Pictured with me is my favorite L2 Kelsey! She arranges for us to come visit. I might look like I am in a weird pose. But I just wanted to make sure my toe beans were in the picture. Also I think he kitties love me even though they haven’t met me because I taught her about churu (sometimes referred to as cat go-gurt), and she got some for her kitties! It is really the best treat.
I can’t wait to see them next all next semester as well as meet all the new law students!
Friends! I am so sorry it’s been so long since I have posted. Truth is, human has needed me a lot. She has been sick off and on, and I have had to work overtime as Dr. Fuzz, especially when tall human has to travel for work.

Today was a much better day! I kept wanting to go outside and see the sun and smell the air. Usually I just make humans carry me outside like a baby while I enjoy nature. After my 4th trip outside they decided to take me on a walk. Usually I stay all zipped. But I needed to be able to stick my head out this time.
Don’t worry! I was clipped in the carrier and human was right behind ready to zip me back in if I got to wiggly.
I totally am not at all afraid of all this rain… Like it’s been raining for 8 hours, and I totally am NOT stressed out about it...it’s…fine….🙀
Sometimes you just need your best friend to come over and give you a hug.

Friends! Sorry for the lack of updates. Humans are back from their honeymoon 😺 but it means my favorite pet sitter is gone 😿. Things have been busy. Human had to have a minor surgery and I was pretty busy trying to take care of her. Also I tried to convince her that her doctor totally said part of her recovery was to give me more treats. 😽
Here I am a few days ago helping with the making of new bow ties! I was very helpful walking on silk and trying to snuggle with the iron!
Human put that cat down! You are only supposed to hold me like that! Tall human don’t touch that cat’s head!
Friends I am feeling good as new under the excellent care of human’s brother. When I am very sick I barely sleep at all. But now I a, feeling better I have loads to catch up on! Please enjoy the plentiful amount of sleepy photos of me.
Brief update from my human…
Tall human and I are going to get matching bow ties! When they were in the New York part of their trip they visited Mood Fabric store. Human was very happy! She loved looking at all the fabric, and they found tie silk. She told tall human she could make him a bow tie and tall human said “and a matching one for Max?” human squealed she was so excited he agreed to this. Pretty soon we will look very dashing!
Humans are on their honeymoon! Human really wanted to just stay home with me at first because she was worried. She loves to worry. But she forgot that the best pet sitter in the world was coming over. Human’s brother Brian! Honestly, I may or may not have held my p*e in so long just so I was sure I could see him. He is a fun uncle. We do naps, and feather stick, and some more naps, and loads of selfies, and ball. I don’t always get to see him and I miss him. This time he took off work to be able to watch me all the time, no work getting in the way. So humans’ honeymoon is actually an amazing vacation for me. I still love them. But sometimes you just need to nap with your bestie.
Also human, tall human, and human’s brother all can’t contain themselves.I had to have some hair removal for all my procedures. They say my legs look Ike drumsticks, which they call drummies. They think it is so funny.
I am home! Thanks to MedVet Dayton for taking such good care of me, and reassuring my humans I was getting lots of love and attention. A fun surprise was seeing Kassie! I used to see her when we’d visit Starbucks in Springfield after our therapy visits, and she remembered me and gave me loads of love. I would have preferred if I just got whipped cream and not a trip to the vet, but everyone went above and beyond to take care of me and get my back to my humans as quickly as possible especially with Humans leaving soon.
Hey everyone, this is Max's humans Amy and Paul. While we got married today, we had a pretty rough day before the wedding and morning of.
I noticed that Maxwell Pepperoni was going into the litter box more often than normal, but not going. We have unfortunately been through this before. Knock on wood he hasn't ever had crystals. It often comes about by two means. 1. He is constipated/struggling with megacolon and all the pressure pushes on his bladder and makes it harder to p*e. 2. He gets stressed out about something, and how he handles that is by intentionally not using the litter box one day, and then it escalates the next day. Or occasionally both things happen together or he over grooms himself and causes issues. A lot of times, if I catch it early enough we might be able to stop it if we can get him distracted and calmed down enough. But if not he goes to the vet. This time is escalated pretty quickly, and I found myself at the emergency vet at 11:30pm on New Year's Eve.
He had to stay, and will be staying again tonight. Good news is he isn't constipated anymore (which I didn't realize, it can happen quickly with megacolon), and he has been p*eing okay with the catheter. His kidney values are improving, and overall looking much better. They just want to monitor him a little long.
While it was never the plan to bring Max to the wedding, it was very very hard to get ready this morning without him. We are going to go visit him soon and are hoping that we can get him home before we leave for our honeymoon.
The not as great news is that this emergency stay has cost more wedding. To be fair we had a wedding just us and an officiant. But we didn't plan to spend $3100 on him this weekend. We will gladly pay it and any other amount to make sure he is happy and healthy. He is a complex fuzzy boy. He loves people, he enjoys going out, he is a great therapy cat, but he is prone to stress. And the stress can cause some serious issues. It's monitored and we work to prevent it, but Max had several stressful things happen in the course of a few days, along with us not having as much free time, and this is where we ended up. While I know people are always well meaning when giving advice, right now we are just asking for your positive thoughts and prays. It would take hours to go over all the intricacies of his health care plan, and the fact is that Max just doesn't fall into typical categories, which has sometimes made his care tricky.
We have a great regular vet, and he is receiving excellent care at the emergency vet. I don't want anyone to think that by sharing Max online that we expect or want anything from our friends and fans. I just know that in other times when Max has been sick we have had people reach out and ask to help, and we hadn't accepted it. I am however going to accept the offer this time if anyone would wish to contribute. We certainly would be grateful for any help, but we are also grateful that you all love our fuzzy orange boy! We plan for regular cat emergencies, but this is our first experience with just how expensive the emergency vet is! I can even send you Max stickers, or more if you previously received some. Humans are getting married soon, in 3 days!
Now I looked at their wedding registry. They registered for very few things.
They aren’t even having a normal wedding where I could be the ring bearer,which is a waste. I would rock it. I am very handsome and talented. But they just wanted a wedding just them and the officiant. So they are doing everything all different.
But the wedding registry contains no cat treats, cat trees, mouse toys etc. clearly that is an oversight right? Like they should be getting those things??? Maybe I should just order them myself. With their credit card. Happy wedding to humans, hope you wanted 1000 bags of temptations cat treats, that is what you are going to get! 👰🤵🐈💍
Did everyone have a good Christmas?? I got two cool new presents, a motorized mouse and a flopping flash toy. But humans got some gifts that came in boxes that that is also a gift for me.
I had to get my teeth cleaned at the dentist this week. It was pretty awful.
1. I had to quit eating at 10pm the night before, which mean I had food taken away from me! Apparently I should have eaten it all when I was given an early dinner (specifically for this purpose human says). But I wanted a midnight snack. I COULDNT HAVE IT!
2.. I also wasn't allowed to have breakfast or even a treat after my medicine. I then had to go in the vet carrier, which is different than my fun adventure backpack. There were NO treats packed.
3. There was another cat waiting who would not stop crying, he needed to get it together.
4. The good news was my teeth are healthy despite what the vet called "a lot of tartar." No teeth needed to be pulled. But they noted two of my tiny front teeth must have fallen out. Pretty mad about that because the tooth fairy did not visit me.
5. I had to stay there awhile after the anesthesia, and human asked if they would brush me because I hate it. It's the only time I try to attack humans. The medicine helped.
6. I wanted to try to walk on the dashboard and climb on the sun visor when I got in the car, but I was denied. Human said I was too wiggly and I had to get back in the vet carrier!
I feel like for this experience I should have been allowed to have 6 extra dinners.
Does anyone want me to mail them a picture of me and santa? And maybe a sticker? I can't promise they will be Christmas cards, because human is very behind. Her dancers have a recital on Sunday, and things are a little crazy here. But we have Santa pictures, and miscellaneous stationary, and we'd be happy to send something to you! Humans put a candle in my salmon, but I thought about eating it. Look how big it is! A burn would have been worry it. But human saved me.
Human is watch other animals again. This kitten is playing with a toy that looks a lot like mine. Human says it is the kittie's and she didn't take mine...BUT that kitten isn't even playing with the toy the right way?!?! It is supposed to go in your mouth, and then human will throw it to you! Ugh. Silly kitten.
Human put a ball I refuse to play with, it is too big, in my cat tree. I will play with it now! Thanks human.

Here is a video of me riding on the conveyor belt. Human had to figure out how to put music in because she was talking soooooooooooo loud in the background.
Today humans took me to petsmart and I looked at birds, and fish, and rode on the conveyor belt and everyone loved me. Then short human reminded tall human that I needed to go see my friends at Winan's. They were so happy to see me again. I gave them stickers and I got whip cream. Also one of the humans knew who I was, and I didn't even met her last time. I am becoming famous! Thank you for my whip cream.
I am in time out! Apparently when you spill human's drink on the carpet, human has to use a spray, and carpet is now even wetter. And now I am trapped! Let me out!!!!
