We have one more intake left in 2024 on Thursday, December 19th, and we need fosters to help us secure a place for our new animals until they are adopted and can begin their new lives.

We need cat and dog fosters to help us finish this year out with more lives spared from euthanasia. Innocent lives are at stake; please consider providing a Christmas miracle by fostering.

We provide all supplies, and no experience is necessary. All these animals need is a place to land until they find their new family. Your selfless act could be an animal's difference in life or death.

URGENT Foster request. DEADLINE For them is today Dec 12 by 3pm.
We are short by two families. These puppies should we find fosters will arrive Dec 13th at 5pm. We are asking for two families to foster, to help to have this litter transferred out of the shelter they are in and into rescue. Please fill out the application below and we will interview and jump on a call. These pups are supposed to arrive tomorrow. All are vaccinated for their age. We at RMPR supply the essentials and you supply the love.

Without help, they will be left to face an uncertain fate. If you can provide a foster home, it could be the deciding factor to keep these animals from being euthanized. They are depending on us—on you.

'Tis the season - to find forever homes for our animals!

This Saturday, we have a super cute adoption event because SANTA CLAUSE IS COMING TO TOWN! No, seriously, he is! He wants to meet all of the RMPR animals and grant them their Christmas wish: a warm, cozy new bed with their loving forever family.

We will be hosting 'Pictures with Santa' and documenting our animals meeting Santa this weekend, as well as any visitors to the store who want a picture. Residential doggos are welcome! Tell your family and friends!

This is a free offering, but donations are greatly appreciated.

Come one, come all to our Holly Jolly Adoption event to find your newest family member! We can't wait to capture your first memory of meeting Santa before you go home to start your new adventure together.

We have had so many amazing individuals reach out to support us during this intake, and we can't thank you enough! We are so close to saving everyone on our list.

TUESDAY DECEMBER 10TH

Rocky Mountain Puppy Rescue needs your support TODAY more than ever and invite you to join us in this incredible movement and help us reach our goal of $25,000. 

Your contribution will directly support our mission to continue to save unwanted animals from unnecessary euthanization in shelters. We spay/neuter, medically treat and then place these rescues with foster families until they are adopted to their forever homes.
Your contribution also helps to support RMPR’s medical fund, which takes care of the unique cases of dogs/cats in our care and our SPAY IT FORWARD public clinic that funds spay neuter services for the communities we pull our animals from. Since 2012 we have done over 5,000 plus surgeries for the public, and this year we conducted another 500 surgeries along with life saving vaccines in our mobile clinics in NM. 

Here is a breakdown of where some of our donations go immediately!

*  A $25 recurring monthly donation for the year funds the spay surgery of 2 female dogs.
* We spay and neuter every one of our animals brought into our care if not already altered. A single spay surgery costs $165 per female animal. Typically, our rescue is bringing up 60-80 animals a month which equates to around 35-40 spay surgeries alone per month. 
* A $25 one-time donation allows for us to purchase 1 case of wet pet food
* One case of wet food typically feeds a pack of puppies for one-two weeks
* Our kitties are fed wet food daily if we have the supplies!
* A $50 recurring monthly donation for the year funds the spay surgery of a mother dog, spay/neuter surgeries for her litter, and care/food/etc (2 months worth)
* A $50 one-time donation allows for us to purchase 1 40 # bag of dry pet food
* At this time we are purchasing over 30 40 # bags of dry food a month to feed all of our foster animals.
* A $100 one-time donation allows us to purchase 1 flat of the DA2PP vaccine that helps prevent distemper and parvo. More in comments!

On December 13th, we are providing another big freedom ride for many animals, and we urgently need fosters to help! All of these animals pictured are gaining their lives back thanks to anyone kind enough to offer them a chance. All we ask of our fosters is an open heart and a safe home; the rescue provides all other supplies.

Can you find it in your heart to help? These animals narrowly escaped death and are so close to finding peace. They just need a warm, loving place to rest until they find their forever homes. You could be their hero. Are you ready to save a life?

To our animal loving community,

Tuesday, December 10th is Colorado Gives Day and it’s your opportunity to make a lasting impact.

We need your support now more than ever and invite you to join us in this incredible movement and help us reach our goal of $25,000. Your contribution will directly support RMPR’s medical fund, which takes care of the dogs/cats in our care and our SPAY IT FORWARD public clinic that funds spay neuter services for the communities we pull our animals from. Since 2012 we have done over 5,000 plus surgeries for the public, and in 2024 we conducted another 500 surgeries along with life saving vaccines in our mobile clinics in NM.  In 2024 alone, our rescue has seen some very special cases come through! Yanis came to us in pain with a ruptured eye. Our vets were able to safely remove it, pain ceased and he has found a great home and is living his best life. CeeCee came to us with a badly broken leg. After surgery and weeks in a cast, she has since been adopted into her forever family! Diesel was in so much pain carrying a severely mangled back leg. Diesel was given an amputation and he now runs like the wind, pain free and in the company of his newly found best friends in a furever home. Chance the dog, who at 10 years old was suffering from rotten teeth and jaw, was taken to CSU upon his arrival where surgeons quickly operated on him and enabled him to be adopted pain free. Queen, who at a young age was discovered to have a liver shunt, has been offered treatment, and is awaiting CSU to fix her shunt once old enough. Marlena came to us after having had 6 puppies and tested heart-worm positive. She was treated and loved in her foster home and has since found her forever humans. Chance the cat came to us with stomatitis, and ended up needing to have all his teeth removed! He found a great home where he can live his days pain free. More in comments!

Without you, we wouldn’t be able to continue to provide the services that we do for the animal communities in CO and NM, saving over 11,000 animals to date and providing low cost spay & neuter services to many more.

How we do this: animals are tagged by our rescue while in the shelter, we then transport them from NM to CO where we spay neuter, medically treat and then place these rescues with foster families until they are adopted to their forever homes. Our fosters live and work with our dogs and cats providing them with the tools they need to successfully transition from a shelter to a permanent home. We promote our mission with our low cost and no cost Spay it Forward spay/neuter and vaccination mobile clinics. The pictures above are from our most recent Spay it Forward clinic in Los Lunas, NM, where we were able to provide services to over 150 dogs and cats. Your donations allow for us to continue to hold these clinics numerous times a year, providing much needed services to desperate communities.
