Ramiel's Journey Piglet's New Journey Her flesh was nothing but infection and scabs. But Ramiel wasn’t ready to die. Against the odds, Ramiel made it through the night.

Angels Among Us Pet Rescue received a call from a small, rural shelter, begging AAU to help save the life of a 6 month-old puppy suffering from a severe case of mange, skin infections and intestinal parasites. When AAU arrived, Ramiel (named after the Saint of Hope) was in critical condition, hairless, lethargic, and anemic suffering from one of the most severe cases of mange AAU has EVER seen in

7 years of rescue. She was covered in blood and fleas, dehydrated, her legs and paws were extremely swollen and it was clear she was at deaths door. She was rushed to an emergency vet hospital where she was given a blood transfusion and fluids and treated for anemia, parasites, mange and dehydration. By the next morning, Ramiel was standing, eating food, wagging her tail and seeking affection from the clinic workers. This is the story of Ramiel’s will to live, to heal and to find happiness.
