It’s with a heavy heart and great sadness that we have to tell you all that Dexter passed away this afternoon.

He was found ‘sleeping’ on the doorstep of one of the lovely families that looked after him over the years, which is the best way for him, as we always worried he’d pass away and never been found.

He will be missed by everyone that ever met him, especially all the children he’s made friends with, as he loved them all.

He lived his life the way he wanted to, and was never one for being tamed or kept indoors.

We can’t thank the families enough that looked after him for us, you’ll never know how much it meant to us that we knew he always had someone looking out for him.

Sleep tight wild one 🧡

Dexter was returned to Ted Ellis/Washbridge yesterday afternoon.

He hasn’t returned to his adopted owner last night or this morning.

If you see him today please can you let me know. I’m hoping he hasn’t gone on another one of his adventures!

Just wondering if anyone has seen Dexter. He’s wondered off again, last seen in Greens Road and on the estate near football ground.
I need to get him back to Ted Ellis area. Thank you

Dexter is back on Washbridge. Managed to keep him in for two weeks and he had his 14th birthday with us yesterday. He strolled out of his carrier straight to a group of children, then walked off up Ted Ellis, without a second glance at us. Feeling sad as we’ve had lovely cuddles, lots of purring and even little love nips for two weeks.
If he does wonder further away, please let me know and I’ll come and get him.

Dexter is now back with us. Very hungry, eaten two bowls of food and biscuits. I’ve settled him in a room by himself, so he can rest and not stress about getting out. I’ll see how he is tomorrow, would love him to stay, but I know he won’t.

Well Dexter has been on his adventures around Dereham again and decided to stay with a lovely lady on the Jentique estate.
He’s been loved, fed and a warm place to sleep for a few days. We may never know why he leaves the Washbridge area and his adoptive family, I think it’s when the children aren’t going to school, he misses the parents and little ones.
Hopefully he will go back today and stay where we all expect him to be.
What a cat he is. 14 years old in February and living his best life 🐈
Thank you to everyone that looks out for Dexter, especially over the last four years, although he had adventures when he lived with us, he always came home. Our little free spirit 🧡🐈

Little update on Dexter. We managed to keep him with us for two nights and one day a couple of weeks ago. He had a nasty abscess on his head and needed vet treatment.
I didn’t want him making his way back to Washbridge by himself, so put him in the car and took him back. He walked away from me, came back for a fuss, then strolled off.
Realised how much we miss him 💙
