For anyone wanting to get started growing sprouts or microgreens, I recommend TrueLeafMarket.com. They are one of my favorites, and they have seed and instruction. I will soon be posting an instructional video here on sprouting; daily, step-by-step, including harvesting.

Harvested my first attempt at microgreens today. They all grew well, and there was no mold (which can be an issue with microgreens). But, as I used various types of seed, they grew at various rates. Also, I think I should have seeded more densely, as the longer seedlings wanted to droop. What I learned from this grow: Sowing the same variety seed will allow for a uniform growth rate. Also, sowing more seedlings means they will support each other as they grow. I will always prefer sprouts, as they are alive. But, I will try microgreens again. For a first try, the microgreen grow was a success.
