Those of you who are entered at the Souhegan Kennel Club shows this weekend, there is an air show with the Blue Angels at Pease Air Force Base this weekend, and a seafood festival at Hampton Beach. There could be increased traffic on 495 East, 93 & 95 North, and Massachusetts Route 3 till you reach 495.

Attention: shoppers. The Nashua, NH LL Bean Outlet is opening a new location at 375 Amherst Street in Nashua. That's a five-minute drive from the Souhegan Kennel Club show site. The Grand Opening is Friday, September 5, 2025, which is the Friday before the Souhgan Kennel Club all-breed shows. So get your entries in and come on and shop in tax-free NH. I believe LL Bean allows dogs. Sam's Dapper Dog is now open at the Merrimack Premium Outlets. It's a boutique-style pet retail shop offering leashes, collars, harnesses, treats, toys, and simple gifts for dog lovers. They welcome dogs. The Outlets have a plethora of shopping choices all tax-free. Another recent addition to the selection of shops in Nashua is a Nordstrom Rack in the Royal Ridge Center.

This is a reminder that one week from today, entries close for the Souhegan Kennel Club shows. We offer NOHS Group and BIS prizes/rosettes the same as or equal to regular group and BIS, and a 4-6 Month Puppy Competition on both days. We hope to see many returning friends and maybe some new faces.

Our meeting is Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at American K9 Country. Business meeting begins at 7:30 PM social time from 7:00 to 7:30. Meeting is open to members, guests, and prospective members.

Another set of Shouhegan Kennel Club all-breed shows are in the books. Congratulations to all the winners, especially the two breeder-owner-handled BIS winners. Before I turn in for the night, as I have a zero-dark-thirty trip to Logan tomorrow AM, I want to thank all our exhibitors for their continued support, our hard-working stewards, the tireless members of the show committee–Jim Williams, Donna Swanson, Steve Spicer, Linda Michael, and Angela Ferrari. Yes, you need judges to judge the dogs but without exhibitors who enter dogs for them to judge and the behind-the-scenes crew, the show wouldn't happen. You are the glue that keeps these shows alive and, as one exhibitor commented to me, makes them "the happy " shows.

Putting it together all the tents are up. Lawn is mowed. Port-a-potties and rings will be delivered Friday. A day of rest ha ha between set up days.
