Happy Thanksgiving! We hope everyone enjoys a beautiful walk, getting dressed in their favorite fall outfits, spending time eating good food with friends and family, then taking naps by the fire. Leon and Kona are here for some outfit and nap location inspiration. This is my hometown in western North Carolina. These are photos shared by friends and family that live there and are cleaning up in the aftermath. This barely shows the extent of the flooding and damage done in communities all along the Appalachia. The flooding was so much worse than predicted and completely destroyed many small towns and thousands of homes. Tiny communities are completely cutoff from access to stores, gas, hospitals, etc. People don’t have water, power or cell service. The communities are pulling together to start the process of cleaning up this disaster but there is a mountain of work to be done. If I wasn’t recovering from surgery I would be on a plane to go volunteer. All of this is to say, if you want to help western North Carolina and Tennessee, please consider donating to any nonprofit helping with the disaster relief and assisting people in rebuilding their homes and businesses. Happy national dog day! How did we humans get so lucky to have these wonderful four legged creatures love us? This dog makes me laugh and feel so loved every day. What an amazing final Truckee Thursday! Thank you to all the , , and (and their people of course) who stopped by my booth this summer for . You made it a memorable one!

Last night was extra special with so many wonderful dog smiles and snuggles. This little rescue guy stole the show (and a piece of my heart). From puppy mill to strutting his stuff around truckee in his new bandana, he is one happy, lucky dog with some very lucky people. I love them all, but rescues like this have a special place in my heart. Thank you all for an extra special final night! Your support means the world to me.

WanderDog is the convergence of everything I love most in life: dogs, wandering, and creating. I create beautiful, functional dog products that make every walk more enjoyable for dogs and their people. Whether it be the daily walk around the block or floating the river, road tripping cross country or an epic week long backpacking trip, WanderDog designs the perfect leash for your dog’s favorite adventure. The goal of WanderDog is not just to provide dog owners with high quality dog gear, but to encourage a life full of little adventures that improve the well-being of humans and dogs. My inspiration comes from wandering with my dogs and I hope you can find inspiration during your daily dog walks too!
