Meet our little sweetie, Jewel!
Jewel is about 7-8mos old and around 22#. We think she'll stay on the smaller side, under 30#. She can be shy at first, but warms up quickly....and she'd love to find a home with a playful social pooch to buddy up with.
Please share so we can find this adorable pup her home 🧡💛💚🤎
A few weeks ago we posted about several little dogs who needed to be moved from a not so great situation. Thanks to the help of our amazing fosters, we were able to rescue 5 of the dogs in need 💕💕🐾🐾
Although their coats were matted, and a few were initially a bit nervous and snappy, they all acclimated really well. They are all now vetted and we are starting to look for their forever homes.
We will do a post in the next day or two with pix of the cuties who are now available, but we thought we would share this adorable video of Kermit (likely the dad to most the pooches who were rescued). This is just a preview of the cuteness to come!
PS - Kermit is about 3-4 yrs old we think, good with friendly dogs, cats and older kids. As you can see, he has the typical happy shih-tzu personality 😍
More to come in next couple days, but you are welcome to email us at [email protected] if you would like more info in the meantime 🧡💛💚🤎
Zoomies, presented by Sparky!
Our little shih tzu, Sparky, came to us with a broken front leg. Due to the location of the break, amputation was the only surgical option. He showed us that despite the break, he was still using it so we held off on making any surgery decisions.
As you can see, Sparky has no trouble getting around! He does favor it on occasion and there is a good chance he will have arthritis as he ages.
We are trying to find him a special home that can manage his injury and what might come of it in the future....please share so we can find his family 🧡💛💚🤎
Sparky is around 1 to 2yrs, 15lbs and is a very social little dude!

Cosette ❤️
As with all the dogs mentioned in our last post, 6yr old 4.2lb Cosette was on the urgent list at the shelter. For Cosette, this is because she sustained some sort of injury and is currently unable to walk on her rear legs.
This shelter is unable to provide xrays, so we aren't sure what we are dealing with at this point. We hope it will be fixable with rest or surgery.
She is coming up to us today and will be headed to the vet on Tuesday for a full exam and xrays. This is expected to cost around $500 (any help will be hugely appreciated!).
We named this tiny girl Cosette as it means "little thing" and "victorious". We felt this would be a perfect fit for her! 🧡💛💚🤎
More to come on this sweet girl...and thank you so much for donating and sharing!!
Scooby Surgery Fund Update!
Our sweet injured boy Scooby has had a crazy few days since he made it to us from the shelter on Sunday. He was pretty sore after Monday's vet visit, but don't worry too much about him....his fostermom is making sure he is as comfy as he can be (some good pain meds help too!).
He's definitely enjoying the TLC he is receiving and is getting used to being catered to (as all dogs should, of course!).
We were lucky to get an awesome surgeon to fit us into her schedule next week...and with the help of our amazing vet hospital Sylvan Corners Pet Hospital, we have him set for Wednesday the 15th.
That gives us a whole week to raise the last $1000-1500 needed....thank you all who have donated and shared so far!
In the meantime, we told Scooby to just focus on taking it easy...and he is very prepared to do that 🧡💛💚🤎
As we get closer to Christmas, we want to share some recent happy updates about a few of our dogs. Here's a sweet mama Greta update!
Greta came to us pregnant and sick nearly a year ago. Thankfully, she and two of her pups made it through. The pups were adopted in the spring time, but sweet Greta patiently waited.
Last month, it was finally her time to find a home of her own. Her fostermom just received this video update....and I think we can all agree that this happy girl's wait was worth it!
Thank you to her fostermom who stuck it out all these months and her wonderful adopter 🧡💛💚🤎
Ethel's adopter sent this adorable video of her being the happy playful girl she deserved to be!
You might remember that Ethel was rescued a few months back and had a very large umbilical hernia that urgently needed to be repaired (pictures in comments). Several of her organs had been displaced and she had difficulty walking due to the size and discomfort of the mass.
Well she's here to say THANK YOU for your help in making her surgery possible - we are so happy to see her living her awesome new life ☺️
We also want to thank her amazing fostermom who "foster failed". Adopting a senior dog is so rewarding...the future she is providing sweet Ethel is priceless! 🧡💛💚🤎
