Doing a little chaperone duty today.  this is by far the most difficult species to breed without the male losing his head. Giant Asian mantis.
I should have lots of adult mantis for sale at the natural history Museum in May (Los Angeles). i’ve been trying to time it just right, so people will go home with adults that they can breed themselves.

The wait is over! NHM is excited to welcome you back this May for a two-day festival celebrating our winged, multi-legged, and squirmy friends for the 36th annual Bug Fair! Visit a variety of exhibitors and see everything from exotic insect collections to bug-related products. Come out to get crafty, experience up-close encounters with crawly creatures, learn all about the local bugs that call L.A. home, and more! Come bug out with us on May 21 & 22. It’ll be the bee’s knees!

The next show will be at the end of this month. Repticon Orange County, February 26th and 27th. I should have 15+ species of Mantids to offer. And hopefully, covid restrictions will be lifted by then. Fingers crossed.

Beware those of the colorful sock wearers. Black and green socks seem to attract mosquitoes. Especially the ankle biter variety. I have been getting tag left and right. Had to break out the off spray tonight, While feeding in misting my Mantis. Thank you Arizona, I know you had them first before California.
