It still hasn’t quite sunk in that Bali, and I just completed our first Olympic Games. I have certainly experienced every emotion there is over the last 6 days, and I am so incredibly proud of my horse for trying so hard all week - at just 10 years old, jumping double clear in his first Olympics is very special 🤩❤️
It is an honor and a dream come true to represent my country at the Olympic Games, and I am so grateful to everyone behind Team USA who supported us throughout the process.

Thank you to my incredible owners who have been on this journey with me for so many years, my groom Abby and my team at home, my family, friends, coaches, farrier, physios, sponsors, and more - this would not have been possible without you!

My teammates and I fought hard for a podium finish, and while we didn’t get the medal we hoped for this time, the USA has a strong group of horses and riders, and we will be back 💪🏻🇺🇸

Bali was just incredible on cross country in Versailles! 🤩 I couldn’t be more proud of my boy and the journey we have been on together. He finished very well and was extremely pleased with himself ❤️ My teammates were awesome and all three of us fought hard for Team USA - We are ready for Show Jumping! 🇺🇸🇺🇸

I’m feeling a lot of mixed emotions right now. I’ve been in Will’s shoes before and I know the pain and disappointment that comes with a last-minute change ahead of the biggest moment in your sporting career and life. I’m devastated for their team – they’ve worked so hard and deserve to be here.

I always knew this was the responsibility of the reserve role, and Bali and I are mentally and physically ready to step in and deliver our best for the team. We’re 100% focused and prepared to head down the centerline and represent our country on Saturday. The USA have an incredible team here in Paris - we are ready to fight hard and give it our all.

I am so proud of young Shanroe Cooley (owned by Ocala Horse Properties Chris Desino Rob Desino Dilan Bower-Desino Lane's Mark Farm & Debby Halliday) for fighting so hard for me all weekend ❤️ I know this event has been a great, educational step for him and his future and I’m so grateful for this opportunity provided by US Equestrian & United States Eventing Association, Inc. (USEA)

Thank you to my sponsors, owners, and followers for your continued support in this journey- it’s always a joy to compete in Aachen!

It’s always hard to step down from a big, important competition, but the most important thing you can do is listen to your horse.

We have unfortunately made the tough decision to withdraw Miks Master C from the team for CHIO Aachen next week. He had an excellent Cross-Country round in the Advanced at Stable View last weekend and finished very well, but when we checked him later that day it was apparent that he was not 100%

With the quick turn around to head to Aachen we decided that it was not in his best interest to put him on a plane and instead need to focus on getting him back to feeling his best.

Mikki is happy at home in Kentucky, and while I’m sad that he won’t be heading to Germany, I’m still excited to be riding Shanroe Cooley in his place for Team USA 🇺🇸 .
