Pointer on the Hill Dog Groomers Dogs have always been a huge passion in my life and as much as I love them - I feel they chose me! :) Hi, I’m Kim.

I have worked with dogs in some capacity for nearly 15 years. Nearly 10 of those have been with Leicestershire Police on the Dog Section where I still work alongside grooming. I feel this level of experience and the reading of a dogs body language plus behaviour has a huge advantage whilst dog grooming. Having skills with the tools is one thing but understanding your clients is another. These are

some of my current qualifications:

- Level 3 City and Guilds Diploma in Dog Grooming
- Level 3 Diploma in Canine Care, Behaviour and Welfare
- Level 2 Diploma in Animal Care
- Dog Awareness Course
- Canine First Aid

Dogs are my soul animals and each of them are treated as my own whilst in my care. Please feel free to discuss training queries, puppy introductions and much more.

A little about me...

I have worked with dogs for over twelve years now and 8 of those (and hopefully more to come!) have been with working police dogs. I feel this level of experience and the reading of a dogs body language and behaviour has a huge advantage when dog grooming. Its not always about the skill with the tools but understanding your clients too and in this case... dogs!

I own two dogs of my own who I absolutely adore (some would say completely spoilt rotten - but hey, that’s what they are here for right?!) I wouldn’t have it any other way. We have a 13 year old GSD in the family who is fit as a fiddle! (She also rules the roost!)

Aside from the working dogs, I have worked within boarding kennels too. I have been dog grooming for nearly 7 years now. I have taken extra courses in Dog First Aid and more recently, a Dangerous Dogs Course. I have a level 3 Diploma in Animal Care and Management alongside my City & Guilds Level 2 and 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming.
