Whether your new dog has a traumatic past, or is a seemingly straight forward rehome, they will need time to settle, decompress, unpack and feel safe. It can be so easy to rush this process, but honestly, the slower you go, the quicker you'll get there. 🐶

Sniffing is very underrated. 😀 One way to calm an excites me dog is to get them to use their nose. Did you know that SARDA (search and rescue dogs) are only allowed to work for twenty minutes befor the next dog is brought in? That’s because sniffing tires out the dog. 🐶 😴

It proved pretty difficult to get a photo of this lunatic sitting still, as you can see, but in end I was successful! 🏆 😝 I had the pleasure of minding this super affectionate little man and his feline friends during the week. 💙 🐶 🐈‍⬛
