Hi, I'm in Year 7 and am an experienced pet owner, having looked after or owned most small pets. Hi!

I'm Freya, an animal loving 10 year old living in Barton Under Needwood. I am an experienced pet owner as I have looked after or owned most small pets e.g.; hamster, bearded dragon, giant snails, fish, dog, cat, rabbits, guinea pigs and tadpoles. I often care for the pets of friends and family and decided to set up a business. We offer:

· Care for small pets in their home including handling and p

etting

· Care for pets in small cages at my house

· Are used to giving pets required medicine

· Overnight stays

Not included:

· Pet food ( except greens)

· Beds/ cages

· Required materials for cleaning out

My charges:

One day: £2.50

One day + overnight at my house: £3.50

(different for more than one animal at a time)

Small pets include:

· Cats- their home

· Rabbits- their home

· Guinea pigs- their home

· Hamsters- their home or mine

· Lizards or snakes- their home or mine

· Fish (indoor or outdoor)- their home

As any animal owner knows, finding someone to care for your beloved pet is much more than just asking someone to 'pop in' and put some food in a bowl.
It's important that the temporary carer has a genuine love of animals and understands their needs and is responsible enough to fulfil those needs.
Of course there is a second consideration. You are handing over the keys of your home to a virtual stranger.
Freya, with the support of her Mum, Liz, cared for my cat, Bella, for 2 weeks recently. My previous Cat Carer, Sam, was a hard act to follow but having met Liz and Freya prior to the booking, I had absolutely no qualms about their integrity and fondness for animals.
They provided an excellent service. I came home to a happy cat and a tidy home. Freya cleared the litter tray, swept up the scattered bits of litter grit, fed Bella, topped up the water bowl and washed the bowls daily.
Her Mum, Liz was there to support and supervise her so don't be concerned about Freya's young age. She has a remarkable sense of responsibility and maturity for her age and I'm sure her entrepreneurship will provide her with not only some extra savings but will encourage her already well developed sense of responsibility.
