✨ EMERGENCY FOSTER EVENT TODAY! ✨

There are 560 dogs at The Animal Foundation this morning, and we are in desperate need of FOSTERS for medium and large dogs TODAY! 🆘

We’re holding a foster event from 11 to 7. Come to our adoptions building and we will be able to help you take home a dog. This event is made possible thanks to Best Friends Animal Society.

Even a two-week commitment can save lives. We provide all veterinary care and supplies.

When our shelter reaches numbers this high, we face serious concerns regarding the health and well-being of the animals in our shelter. When there are this many dogs so close together, we are at a higher risk of infectious disease.

If you find a healthy and friendly dog, try to find their owner before bringing them to the shelter. They likely have a home nearby and a family waiting for them to return.

Big-small, young-old, different colors, different breeds, all wonderful personalities. The biggest misconception about shelters and rescues is that "they offer no variety". As you can see below, that statement is simply untrue. Unfortunately, no animal is immune from ending up in the system. All different: breeds, ages, shapes, sizes, and colors come through their doors. All are amazing and unique, in their own way. And each and everyone one of them, wish for a family to call their own. So please, consider adoption or fostering and save a life today.

Are you looking to adopt a puppy? We have 6 puppies coming and are looking for "FOSTER TO ADOPT" homes. This means that you will take the puppy in with the intention of adopting but are not required to, if you do not feel a connection is there. We will finish off their vetting before the adoption would be finalized. (all of our dogs need all their vaccines, spaying/neutering, microchipping at a minimum)
Just notate on the application that you are looking to foster to adopt a puppy.

We can and have adopted to "out of area" but you cannot foster from out of our area. How would that work?how would you make our vet appts? How would you do meet & greets if you opted not to adopt?
We don't foster from distance. Unless it is a dog awaiting transport. We do adopt out of area.

UPDATE-ADOPTED!
1129929 Tiny is a 10-month-old, 126-pound, neutered male, Neapolitan Mastiff. That's right! He is still a baby! A BIG baby! He is a very sweet and affectionate boy. He loves attention. He doesn't seem to know any basic obedience cues, yet. He is smart and eager to learn. He does pull on the leash when walking, but with constant leash work he will get better. Tiny seems receptive to meeting other dogs. He played well with owned dog Bruce shown in a couple pictures below and in the videos.
