Adopted from Safe Harbor Humane Society at five years old, Shadow trained at Rettungs-Haus Shepherds until 2018 and passed her CGC test there on March 22, 2016.

Little late in posting it, but we recently celebrated this girl’s 14th (‼️) birthday. She’s much less active than she used to be, but still loves snacks, plain cheeseburgers, and car rides. She has gotten used to using her stairs to get in and out of the car as well as on and off the furniture, but would still prefer to jump sometimes when I’m not watching close enough.

Still doesn’t care much for the vet… tolerates most of it, but wouldn’t cooperate for a bloodraw without a little medicinal assistance (third picture lol). She has never snapped or snarled at them, but won’t hold still and tries to hide under or behind anything or anyone in the exam room and we didn’t want her to hurt herself trying to fight them off. Love my Shadow girl and am grateful for her every single day. 💜

Shadow’s last BarkBox. It’s been three, maybe even four years since we started celebrating and the box themes have been super fun and she’s loved all the treats. However, she cares for the toys like they’re her babies and hasn’t destroyed a single one so we’re running out of space.
