Why is Bethany Church organizing this fundraiser instead of the LaPorte County Animal Control & The Jane Bernard Animal Adoption Center?

This is a give back to community project/benefit that Bethany Church has taken on to benefit and improve upon the existing dog park. With county approvals in place and a matching grant from the IHCDA, it means the church can help the Shelter to help animals and complete the upgrades in park quickly - before the summer of 2024 - as long as the donations come in to make it possible! The shelter is busy saving and rehoming lost pups and kitties. The church is helping them focus on what they do best while the church does some help with community fundraising to help them have an improved area to do even more for pets in need and families who love pets! The church keeps $0 from this... 100% of what is raised will benefit the Shelter.

The church has also been working with the skilled volunteer labor that helped with the LaPark Inclusive Playground - so many are on board to help with this project to benefit pets and humans in LaPorte County.

Lady is waiting patiently for her forever family!

She is about 1.5 years old, full of love, snuggles and play! Lady is a tiny petite lab mix, fully grown at 44 lbs. She is a perfect blend of adult and young dog, crate trained and completely housebroken, spayed, up-to-date on shots, but so playful and fun!

‼We are COMPLETELY out of space for dogs‼

Right now we have 80 dogs living at our shelter, but we only have 72 kennels! That means we have 8 dogs living in offices, playrooms, anywhere we have space. This is our reality right now, even though we already have 14 dogs in foster care.

⚠️LOST PETS. If you are missing your dog, COME SEE IF YOUR PET IS HERE. If you can’t come in person, check our lost and found page on our website.

💓FOSTER. If you have the space, and you truly love animals, this is the best way to help right now. You might think fostering is too hard, but I promise you it’s worth it.

💖ADOPT. Adopt adopt adopt. Please, please, don’t shop for a pet this holiday. We need you. They need you. Getting a dog out of their kennel and into your home is the best gift you can give.

☎️RESOURCES. Please do everything in your power to keep your pets safe and home with you. If you need help with pet food or information on affordable vet care, reach out to us for help.
