Sweet Potato Dog Chews and treats from - Front Porch Pets

My Daisy has kidney issues and we tend to stay away from them for her health put I just found sweet potato chews and they are great. Cranberries are another festive treat for your pooch - While raisins (dried grapes) are not safe for dogs EVER, dried cranberries are. Don't feed them the whole bag however, just a few now and then as a treat or a handful tossed into a week's worth of homemade food. If your dog likes them they are full of antioxidants and contribute to a varied diet.

So trying out the tip on pumpkin for dogs and they love it!! I got a can of organic pumpkin from Trader Joe's and mixed it into their food and they couldn't get enough. What a festive little treat!

Pumpkin (canned and unsweetened or cooked, unsweetened and mashed) is really good for dogs. It can help settle diarrhea or constipation. It's filled with potassium and vitamin A. It's low in calories and high in fiber. And dogs tend to love it. Adding a scoop of pumpkin to your dog's food now and then is a really beneficial treat any time of the year.
