I have tonsillitis AGAIN and the dogs are mad because I haven't had the energy to move out of bed all day :( no walks for a week or so, sorry puppers. The only thing saving me right now is vanilla ice cream and lemon water

After a lot of thinking, property searching and people telling me I need to do this I have decided to make a gofundme. I have been looking for places all day and barely any at all allow pets, let alone 2 dogs and I suspect I will need to pay a large lump sum in order to convince a landlord to let me stay there. Unfortunately I don't have a large lump sum just floating around due to being in education at the moment so despite my embarrassment I'm having to crowdfund. You don't have to donate anything but if you do me and the pigs will be over the moon. Even £1 helps I just need a little boost. A lot of people are asking if they can donate to help out, currently I'm not taking anyones donations as that will be a last resort for me however I do appreciate it immensely. Thank you to everyone who has contacted they are currently helping me figure this whole situation out and I'm feeling a lot less lost about this situation. I will update you all asap

Currently I don't have a job as I went back into education to gain new qualifications so just picking up all my stuff and finding somewhere else to live isn't an option right now. I was giving a week to rehome the dogs and that week is almost up. I just got an email threatening legal action against me if I don't find somewhere else for the dogs to be and obviously I don't want to be dealing with that while being on the verge of sleeping outside again. I know people didn't believe me when I said I was homeless the first time and people probably won't believe me again but I'm willing to show you emails that have been sent to me regarding the situation.The reason I'm sharing this with you now is because they have made it quite clear there is no way they'll allow the dogs to continue living here and now I need all the help I can get. I didn't want to share this with you because I'm ashamed that somehow I've been in this situation twice in 2 years. It's true that there is a no pets policy where I'm living but I did what I had to do to keep them safe. Please if anyone knows what I can do let me know I need help

The article states the dogs were "humanely destroyed".. yes shooting a dog to death is how vets like to do it because it is so humane. Im not valuing a dogs life over a humans nor am i justifying what these dogs did, my main focus is the fact that they have so much power and influence over the general public who tend to be clueless when it comes to pit bulls and will take the medias word as its fact. They are doing nothing more than fear mongering for money. F**k you do some research about the stories you are writing you money hungry bastards

If you have a dog you NEED to learn dog behaviour and understand when a dog is stressed ESPECIALLY if the dog is going to be around children. Children are loud, hands on and often lack self control. If this child was supervised the parent should have stepped in when the dog showed signs of being unhappy. Do not assume your dog will ignore the child. Sometimes they are very subtle but thats why you need to pay attention! When we ignore a dogs growl or insecure body language YOU GET BITTEN. Unless this dog had a neruological disorder that causes the dog to bite without warning which is extremely rare this was 100% preventable. I see videos of children climbing on dogs ALL the time. This will NEVER happen with my dogs, they are animals to be respected not play things. Now if this child was left alone with the dog shame on the parent, you should know better. We need to preach bite prevention not ostracise certain breeds when they do bite because there is ALWAYS a reason. This isnt a case of a poorly socialized dog getting free from the yard and attacking a child, this was a happy family pet that obviously reacted to a situation. If your dog has always had human aggression issues you need to either muzzle your dog, hire a behaviouralist to curb the issue or put it to sleep. There is no place for human aggressive dogs in todays society. But that's not relevant to this story, there is a difference between human aggression and a dog reacting to a situation. Aggression is the willingness to bite without reason or for enjoyment, a dog reacting to a situation will bite when they are ignored and the annoyance/agitation towards the dog continues

You know this is just an excuse to be able to shoot pit bulls and get away with it because you know for a fact they wont be killing any yorkies or labradors. Luckily in the UK not every officer is allowed to carry a gun or even a taser and if armed police arrive it is usually because they suspect there will be a violent altercation, thankfully a barking dog doesnt warrant armed police come to your house in the UK. But by the looks of this article the US has other ideas

The ruling comes after police in Battle Creek, Michigan, shot two pit bulls while searching a home in 2013.

But seriously this is amazing, im excited because this means BSL will be better known throughout the UK. When I was 18 and bought Indy from a family I had no idea about BSL or Pit Bull it just wasnt something anyone wanted to talk about for some reason but now im seeing a shift and more and more people are finding out whats happening in the UK with these poor dogs and I am looking forward to the future!
