I have my certificate in zoo and aquarium science οΏ½ my dad always called my oodles of pets the Watson zoo so I figured what better name to honor him with!
Went hard in reptile room today πͺ wont lie, it's been a lot taking everyone on solo *thankful mom helps when she can* but we're getting through it! Either way the babies are always cared for and getting oodles of love even if im slacking post wise π
Our adorable Stubs (now Bower) found his/her forever home today! Im so excited for the beautiful life ahead for this little one!

Everyone meet François! Unfortunately someone found him and another rat snake, out of fear killed the one and permanently disabled François! Thankfully he's still able to move with the spinal injury, just on the slow side. I'm excited to start water therapy and learn more ways to help him life the best life possible!
Rat snakes are non venomous and harmless to humans! Along with being amazing at pest control! Please educate yourself and those around you on local wildlife. If you're scared, before reacting to harm try your best to call in help so no humans or animals get injured π

Life in rescue is never easy honestly. When we first rescued Dunsparce she was beyond tiny with a boat load of health issues. I didn't think she'd make it a night let alone a week let alone the 2 and 1/2 years I got the honor of being her mommy. She was such a fighter and refused to give up. I'm grateful she passed peaceful. There's normally a sad ending to most rescues but to have her exceed all expectations and be able to pass comfortablely is all I could hope for anyone π I love you forever and always babygirl

We've had Veldora a year already! I always dreamed of having a Tegu but I never thought the day would actually come. I'm forever grateful for how sweet and loving he is! Today he got a bath, some extra snuggles, and his favorite foods! Starting the week out right π

Welcome little Bruni to our rescue! His original owners abandoned him along with giving improper care while they did have him. Thankfully stepped in and did their best to get him feeling okay. Realizing with just proper care wasn't enough they reached out to us! Fingers crossed for this little one. If we're able to help him then he has a beautiful family to go back to!
6 years ago a classmate reached out to me explaining how their brother bought this little one to be tank mates with his already adult. The classmate reached out to me asking if I could take her and of course I said yes!
She was my first snake, especially this small. But now she eats like a pig, loves the attention and I'm so thankful Snivy is in my life now π

I caught Shuckle our Sand Boa drinking! Shes mid shed as well π₯° she says to stay hydrated friends! Sand Boas are hardy little snakes and can go weeks, even months without food and water! We she first came to us she was so weak and small, after force feedings and lots of extra love she's turned into a beast! #watsonzoorescueandrehabilitation #sandboa #shuckle #reptilerescue #stayhydrated

Through a lot of trial and error to rehab Rattata along with discussion with a few other reptile specialist we determined that he was most likely just a wild snake caught and attempted to be kept as a pet instead of a captive bred one, like the story we got from the human who tried to keep him to begin with. We tried force feeding, syringe feeding, honestly more methods than I could count to get him to thrive with us. We then decided it'd be best to return him to his proper environment to get him the best chance at thriving. Reminder that you can't just take an animal from the wild and expect it to do well in captivity. That can over stress most to where they can starve *like him* or many other factors that just ends in their passing. Please leave wildlife where you find them and wish this little guy the best of luck on his new life π we'll miss you so much little one *he is native to our area*

This is Keanu! He's 4 years now and fun fact: He's a transgender kitty! π³οΈβπ he had blockage in his urithra almost two years ago and after trying every other method the only way to save him was to give him lady bits instead. I'm thankful every day my baby made it through the surgery and is still the same loving bean π
