Godiva, the liver girl was awakened from her sleep. She was a trooper getting a haircut and a photo. Unfortunately, I got the red eyes and couldn't figure out how to fix the photo. She does a have pretty dark eyes. Another sweet Hillary daughter.

Hillary's black and white daughter, Elsie. She is as splashy as Bode. She is largely white, with the left side of her face half black. Almost looks like the silhouette of another dog on the side of her face. She is as sweet as she is pretty.

Peewee update

Peewee is now weighing in at 8.7 oz! He has gained the weight all on his own! He gets weighed multiple times a day and individual nursing times with his Mama, Lala. No more tube feeding for this little guy!

Peewee is starting to show more of his orange coloring. With his dark nose and foot pads, he will likely be a beautiful orange roan.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. ❤️ Fortunately, it turned out to be a false alarm with no need for a C-section. I would rather error on the side of caution, then make a fatal mistake.

Satty is turning into an excellent mother. She is very attentive to her babies. I always thought of Satty as a wild child when she was a teenager. It's such a relief to see her caring for the babies.

The puppies are now a day old. All have gained weight, some more than others. The smallest puppy is the girl with a spotted back weighing 8.5 oz. Everyone else is 10-11 oz. There are 4 boys (2 blue and 2 orange) and 2 blue girls.

All puppies are spoken for.

This is the 3rd born puppy from Satty's first litter. This black and white boy was the largest puppy. Still larger than his siblings, his size now is not indicative of his adult size. At 18 days old, he is not ready to leave the nest, but will soon start eating gruel. This puppy will be a looker!

Bernadette (Ch. Itoba in Dreams) is a bit of a thief or perhaps interior designer? When Dette is around things go missing. She never destroys things, but likes to keep them in her bed for "safe keeping". Dette is particularly fond of shoes.

We have made the tough decision to place Bernadette in the right home. Bernadette turned 3 in June and is fully housebroken and crate trained.

Peewee Update

Peewee is slowly gaining weight. His weight fluctuates between 5.2 to 5.4 oz. We weigh him before and after tube feeding. Typically before he is at 5.2 and after is 5.4. His siblings are in the 11-13 oz range. Peewee continues to receive feedings every 4 hours round the clock. Whenever we can, we attempt to get him latched on to a ni**le. Unfortunately, he is easily detached. The black/white puppy is the other boy.

Peewee update

Peewee with his sisters. Reba is the heavily marked puppy. Peewee has his head on Dixie and the other puppy is Yvonne. Their names are based on a kids show back in the 80s (?). Can you guess what show??

We decided since Peewee was nursing so well to stop the tube feedings last night. He did pretty good dropping from 7 to 6.9 oz this morning. This morning he was tube fed so he doesn't loose any ground.
