One of our favorite things to do here at Shelby's Barkery is donate to dog stories that touch our heart. This was the one that caught our attention today. This rescue is helping this sweet boy to get the surgery he needs and then will be reuniting him with his family because they love him so dearly and did not want to give him up. We thought this was a beautiful gesture and we wanted to help. We made a donation to Rusty and wanted to share in case one of our amazing followers would like to help also.

RUSTY’S FAMILY WAS OUT OF OPTIONS!

They were waiting for us in front of the rescue. Rusty needed expensive surgery and they didn’t have the money. They cried as they talked about him, and when they first saw him years ago in an animal shelter. How he had picked them and wouldn’t leave their side, and how it has always been like that! He had an abscess that burst, and now he needed surgery, but they couldn’t even get close to covering the cost. All day long we get requests from people who want to give up their dogs, many so heartless. We had to love this sweet family and knew that, with your support, we could give Rusty the care he needed and reunite him with his family! Let’s make another miracle happen together!

Meet Shelby, our inspiration of the Barkery.. Shelby was the most amazing Lhaha Apso. She loved life, and thought everyone was on this earth to be her friend. She loved to travel, loved her family and loved getting her photo taken. She was a girly girl. She loved her dresses, hair bows and costumes. A social butterfly. Shelby passed 6 years ago of cancer and we will forever love and miss her and carry on her memory.
