Yep I’m the reason mom comes home at lunch on stressful days. She says it’s both of us, but I always make her laugh when I do my stretches while she hooks Ozzie up for our walk.

12 is a special for a lot of dogs to reach. Everyday that I have with my OG Ozzie is a day. So this year to him here are 12 things that I love about him. to one half of my perfect pair, my rock! I you

1. Your loyalty, & the bond it has created between us.
2. Your sloppy kisses.
3. Your youthful personality.
4. Your ability to read people and do what needs to be done to make them smile.
5. Your smile, & how you will smile on command.
6. Your silky ears & the comfort they bring me running my hands through them.
7. Your intelligence & willingness to learn. It pushed me to be a better dog owner.
8. Your athleticism, & drive to not stop retrieving.
9. Your unique way of getting my attention. (Some who know us in person will read this and know exactly what I’m talking about.)
10. Your soulful eyes, highlighted by your beautiful eyelashes.
11. Your sassiness, especially when you start being vocal.

Let’s accidents happen when you own a pet. probably didn’t realize how enthusiastic of we would be when they reached out. I actually own three of their 3’x5’ rugs due to the regularity of accidents I was facing with Mac, while we went through some food trials. (Rug pictured is a 5’x7’) Some days I would wash one in the morning before work, & then at lunch if I didn’t get home on time I would be washing another one. So I would need the third to put down for in between me being gone between lunch & coming home. These rugs saved my sanity as I went through this situation with Mac, because all I had to do was pick up the accident. Then pick up the rug and throw it in the wash, no scrubbing or cleaning of the area prior because they are stain resistant.

Before Mac, I always joked that when I got my next dog he was going to be a handful because Oz was so easy. Well I put that out in the universe and the universe delivered me my handful three years ago today. Happy Mackinaw! You definitely have lived up to your nickname but I wouldn’t have it any other way. You are everything I didn’t know I needed at the time and I’m so to have you in our lives.
