With firework night coming up, these are just a few ways in which you can help your dog if they're not a fan. Your dogs senses are much more sensitive that ours meaning- loud bangs, high pitched noises, flashes of light and the smell of fireworks can be scary for our four-legged friends!
1- Keep dogs inside, sounds obvious right? Take them out for a walk, when it is still light outside, less chance of getting caught out! 🦮
2- Play classical music, ClassicFM's Pet Classics can be very calming, or you can find calming playlists on youtube. 🎶🎵
3- Make a den, throw it back to your childhood find as many pillows and blankets as you can! Climb inside the den with your dog, make it fun for you both ⛺️
4- Close doors, windows & curtains, again, sounds obvious right? Where you can try and block out the flashing lights by closing the curtains. 🚪🪟
5- Calming plug-ins, you can get these from your local pet shops 🔌
6- Comfort them! Give them some fuss, reassure them its going to be ok, give them all the love they deserve! They are your best friend after all! 💛
