Irish Rose Farms Irish Rose Farm Irish Rose Farm and Bradbury Riding Club are adjacent facilities that work together to provide a variety of equestrian services and programs.

Debbie Opp and Norman Day (husband and wife) have owned and operated Irish Rose Farm for over twenty-two years. Primarily a lay up, layover, and quarantine facility, Irish Rose Farm also provides horse transportation to a wide variety of clients and 24/7 emergency vanning to hospitals. The Bradbury Riding Club boarding, training and lessons facility, is nestled into an adjoining twelve-acre prope

rty that preserves eight acres of natural woodland and an historic avocado and citrus orchard. Together these equine land conservation properties form the largest remaining undeveloped flat land parcel in the City of Bradbury, and provide sanctuary for a wide variety of native plants and wildlife.

Volunteers needed for Saturday morning therapeutic riding program. Without volunteers we can't do this program, and it is amazing how much progress the kids are making.

Our dry winter with late rain encouraged stinging nettles. Stinging nettles are nitrogen fixers, they will help stabilize the soil and promote plant growth. Historically the leaves have been used to treat arthritis and joint pain.

As members of the National Audubon Society, we participate in an annual bird count. We have a documented biologist report protecting the nutteries of the woodpeckers that nest in the dead avocado trees. Many babies were nesting at the time the city wanted the trees removed, so we were fortunate to save them.
