TNVR services will be available starting April 5, 2022.

• Limit of 40 total cats each Tuesday.
• Registration is required. Those interested must email [email protected] or call 904-529-5876 by 5 p.m. the Thursday prior to service. You will receive an email confirmation with the number of cats you are allowed to bring.
• All cats must be dropped off between 7:45 and 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Clay County Humane Society, located at 2230 Filmore St, Orange Park. Pick up will be the same day.

Clay County Animal Services has reached full kennel capacity for dog intake and needs your help in finding homes for our adoptable dogs!

The adoption fee for dogs over 6 months is waived from today, April 29, through until Mother's Day, May 9.

If you can foster or adopt one of our shelter animals, please email [email protected] or call 904-529-4107.

We're open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, noon to 6 p.m. Thursdays, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. We are closed Sundays and Mondays.

Clay County Animal Services will be updating our TNVR cat program. From Friday, April 9 to Tuesday, April 13. We will not be accepting any TNVR cats.

Beginning Wednesday, April 14, Clay County Animal Services will only accept TNVR cats on Wednesday mornings between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. We will take 40 cats on a first-come, first-served basis. Cats must be in appropriately sized traps, with one cat in each trap. All TNVR cats must be picked up between 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. that day. If you have any questions, please call us at 904-529-4107.

Awesome!!!

In an effort to better serve our community, we will be improving our TNVR program by transitioning to one surgery day a week. Starting in April, there will be one specific TNR day where Clay County residents can drop off feral cats, in appropriately sized traps, on a first come first serve basis to be sterilized. We will accept a maximum of 40 cats per day, and cats must be able to be picked up the same day. We believe this process will make our TNVR program more effective and efficient. Please keep watching our page for updates on when this program change is set to begin.

Clay County Animal Services will allow access at the shelter by appointment only beginning Tuesday, March 17, 2020, until further notice. Please call the shelter at (904) 269-6342 to schedule appointments for owner reclaims and foster pick-ups.
The following changes to services will be in effect:
• Stray pick-ups will be conducted for emergencies and public safety issues only.
• No stray drop-off services will be available, and no owner surrenders will be accepted.
• Trap, Neuter, and Release (TNR) services have been suspended. Please call Clay Humane for Wednesday TNR services (904) 276-7729.
Pet owners are encouraged to have animals microchipped and to keep identification tags on pets at all times.

What a happy reunion!

Sometimes the best part of our day isn't finding a pet a new family - it's reuniting them with the one they had! 💚 Little Gatita went missing earlier this year but her mom never stopped looking. Unfortunately, her mom had to move to Michigan and thought that she would never see her beloved little kitty again.

However, Gattita recently arrived at JHS as a stray with a registered microchip! When we made the phone call to say that Gatita was safe with us -- mom hopped in the car and drove straight through the night to be reunited with her sweet cat! There wasn't a dry eye in the building this day. Please join us in Gatita and her mom a happy new year together in 2020. 😊

She is pint sized, gorgeous, well behaved, sweet, affectionate, walks well on leash, knows basic commands and always keeps her kennel clean! Come get her! Another CatBugs Cutie Adoption Update ❤️

Hi Catbugs! 5 years ago today, Sammy Daytona moved into our home. He has and continues to be a very well loved (spoiled) member of our family. Thanks for bringing Sam into our lives!
