Good morning!

Sal's pasture mates are a pony I'm working with and my 17 year old thoroughbred, who is retired due to a number of orthopedic problems.

I honestly intended to euthanize the thoroughbred this year because he seemed unhappy and was moving very slow. But apparently all he needed was a younger friend.

He likes his after work scritches quite a lot which is very different from when I had to put him in a squeeze chute to take his halter off since it was slicing up his chin.

Hard to believe it's been a little over a year.

Evening!

I went to a Ty Evans clinic this weekend. Sal stayed home because we decided the amount of pressure invovled in going to a new place and unloading alone at night was both unfair and potentially unsafe. I brought a friend's yearling instead and I still learned a whole lot!

Of course, that doesn't mean we won't go home and practice what we learned.

Afterward he got some attention from his bestie, my husband.
