This is a Mother if Millions plant. It is also know as the Devil’s Backbone. It is a succulent native to Madagascar. It reproduces when the tiny babies on its leaves drop into the soil. This plant contained a toxic steroid called Daigremontianin that has been used for medicinal properties in the past. These plants will be available for purchase next year.... by the millions!

Fun fact Friday: Crassula ovata, or Ogre Ear Jade, is a unique and fantastic houseplant. Native to the Eastern Cape of South Africa, this plant is often used to learn Bonsai as it is hardy and overtime develops a thick woody stem. Sometimes called a money tree, it is really known for providing all of the ears for Shrek. Side note: cuttings of this plant take forever to root, I have just rooted the first cuttings that I took over 12 weeks ago!

Fun fact Friday: the coral cactus, also known as the Frankenstein’s monster cactus is actually two Euphorbia succulents grafted onto each other. Originally from, Africa this plant has toxic sap that can cause skin irritation and temporary blindness if it comes in contact with your eyes.... so it is super cool! This one was an early birthday gift from my older kiddo Tyler!

Fun Fact Friday: For your viewing enjoyment meet the haworthia cooperi! These amazing cacti are originally from South Africa. The translucent leaves of this plant turn blueish if not exposed to enough light and red if over exposed. This one is not going to be for sale but we will hopefully be propagating it in the future!
