Our dogs come from champion lines in Europe and are a fine example of this exquisite breed. Such fun visitors today! Puppies gave lots of kisses and even showed off their super powers, ‘puppy manners’. They sat when they approached our visitors and also sat using the hand signal and command. They used soft mouth and didn’t nip at hands and feet. Good job, puppies!
Puppies did so great at the Vet’s! So much handling and no complaints from the pups. They received their first vaccination, worming, microchip, and full examination by our doctor. He pronounced them all beautiful, healthy puppies! Yay! 😊👏👏👏

Expected behavior and routine are so powerful! Dog get an apple slice every night with ‘softmouth’ reinforcement and ‘sit’. Notice how I hold my little pinky or finger lifted upward for the hand signal to sit. I have found that this is much easier and trained all my dogs with it. I often have a treat or something in my hand which makes the flat hand harder, but I always have a finger or pinky free to lift up. We incorporate training in our every day interaction with our dogs. THE DAILY DOG. Millie was a leash puller. That is her past life. She is doing so great learning loose lead. We walk her most days and practice, practice. She is working on CGC title. Love this dog! She is our 1 year old.
When dogs are raised with routine and a schedule, it makes training so much easier. Both the humans and the dogs know what to expect. Our dogs learned when it was time to take a nap and have some downtime that they move right to their crates. When all of us gets some time to chill out, it keeps frustration levels low especially with a multi dog household. I have found that cortisol levels in the dogs stay a lot lower if they are not wrestling and going in and out of the house constantly. The girls will sleep for an hour to an hour and a half at least once a day without complaining.

We always teach soft mouth to our puppies, but it is a good idea to reinforce this with older dogs. They can get in the habit of snapping for treats and can even buy to hand. It’s especially important to teach this and see that they are consistent around children. Children love to feed the dogs and we want to make sure that they are safe. We imported Jack and Annie from the Erdoskerti Kennel in Hungary. The stud we use is an import from Denmark and is a 5 X National and International Champion. All of our dogs are CHIC certified with the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals. We also have done genetic testing in several areas of health issues for Goldens to make sure our dogs and puppies have the best chance at a long and healthy life.
