A minor change in plans. 😏 We sent out the notification email last week, but to keep everyone in the loop;
Poki moved through her heat cycle as scheduled, even if she was almost two months early. We called in Tigger when two dates and a slumber party with Weller did not result in any "Discovery Channel" content. 😅 Of course, two days later he was more than enthusiastic to participate in slumber party shenanigans. Our Dinosaurs are dual-sired and we couldn't be more excited. Poki's ultrasound is scheduled for October 10th. Until then we'll be crossing our fingers and hoping for potatoes. 🤞🤞🤞 To learn more, visit

While I am sad we had to pull from ASFA coursing this weekend, I am absolutely delighted with these two. Chaos (Mirage x Zippy) was high score LCI on Saturday, and Appa (Aura x Tristan) won high score LCI on Sunday. Way to go kids!! You did a great job repping Windsprites and Apsara this weekend. 💜

We took these two on a walk today so they could sniff and shake hands and get to know each other a little better. They did all the first date essentials. Lots of sniffing. Peeing on each other's p*e. And they even found a dead mouse together. 🥹 Very romantic indeed. 🤭

Took the handsome lad on a mosey today. He really appreciates his solo strolls. Without the girls rushing him along, he has plenty of time to stop and smell all the bug farts. 💕

Someone had fun playing UKI Agility at today! I'm so proud of her. I included our course maps due to popular demand. 😁

First up was sp*edstakes and I'm certain someone turned up the gravitational pull on the longer tunnel, so we earned ourselves an off course. But oh man you shoulda seen her distance to that tunnel. 😌 But the rest was Stunning.

I am most proud of our first jumpers run. There was no way on this earth I was going to make it to 7-9 without layering. This isn't something we've done a lot of but we managed 4-5 with me on the opposite side of the weaves AND 7-8 with me on the other side of 12. 😭 Of course as we were on our way to 13 I was yelling a whole lot of "go" and not a whole lot of "weaves" so she figured it was up to her where to go and she picked tunnel. 🤣

Her last jumpers run was beautiful, and she earned herself a 1st & Q with no faults. 🥹

I'm so proud of our progress, especially with the minimal time we have to practice. Poki pi, silly little Muppet lady, she's a good girl. 💜

Today we went in for Aura and Wally's yearly exams. While Aura was beyond delighted to be in a place where everyone knows her name and is ready to give her all the attention they can muster, Wally is less than thrilled about these alien abduction procedures. He's been slowing down in the last month, and I had a feeling he may be developing arthritis so we made sure he had a thorough exam today. (Sorry pal 🥺) It does appear that he is developing arthritis in his knees. In addition to his joint supplement, we're getting an Assisi Loop per his vet's recommendation. We'll also look into other treatment options that he'll be comfortable with so we can keep him as spring-sproingy as possible. Aura's examination revealed that she is perfect, but we knew that already. 😜💕

I also just want to take a moment to give a shout-out to and Dr. Morlock. I spent almost eight years working in veterinary medicine and when I say that she is the best, I mean it. Dr. Morlock has never been anything short of kind, patient, understanding, and empathetic. A true gem. 💎✨ We feel so lucky to have such a fantastic primary care doctor for the noodles. 💜

‼️ Attention All Windsprite Owners ‼️

Recently, two cases of copper toxicosis have been diagnosed in Windsprites. Copper toxicosis is an inherited metabolic disorder in which the liver fails to excrete excess copper and this can lead to liver failure.

There is a genetic marker that has been identified as an increased risk factor in development of the disease. This means that dogs who have one or two copies of this gene are more at risk for the development of copper toxicosis. However, not all dogs with a copy of this gene will develop the disease. Dogs with two copies are most at risk.

Embark recently added this gene to their health panel (ATP7B) in addition to the genetic marker that assists in mitigating the excess of copper in the liver for affected dogs (ATP7A).

This is important information for all owners of Windsprite and Windsprite Crosses and is something to share with your pet's medical care team, especially if there has ever been concern about your pet's liver values.

Aura made a friend today.
(Actually, she made many. Tiny toddlers learning to pet dogs and who wanted to give her cookies, several adults, and lots of older kiddos. But this friend was the funniest)

🤞 Fingers crossed for a successful breeding this time around!
These little lurchers will be phenomenal versatile companion dogs. (And a perfect size for agility 😁... going to be insanely difficult to not keep one for myself 🥴)

We had a great time at the IWC Specialty show last weekend. Despite the heat, camping was a blast. Applause to the show committee and board for deciding to cancel racing on Sunday - it was far too hot. We were of course disappointed in the weather for not cooperating, but that isn't anyone's fault.

Chaos, Appa, and Vulpecula were also in attendance! Appa's humans were on vacation, and he was along for the ride. An attempt at Rally was made, but much like his Uncle Wally, Appa was convinced we were racing. Vulpecula helped run the raffle table and was a phenomenal Apsara ambassador with many waggles and kisses delivered to those deciding which raffle baskets to place their tickets into. 🤔

Miss Aura LOVES to go shopping. Usually I manage the leash and cart, but the little guy has been eager to help lately and wanted to do the honors. She's a good girl, and was very happy to follow her kiddo instead...once I handed over the cookies. 😆
