The TBW has been on Facebook for over a year now and we find that many individuals want to join us on Facebook, but they are not members. This page will allow anyone who is a fan of the TBW to still receive vital updates, but also allow us to share specific community information with just our community. The Tussing Block Watch is a community working together to identify and minimize crime through
awareness and prevention. Including and in addition to crime awareness and prevention we encourage community growth and betterment through:
-Snow removal and bad weather check ins for elderly/disabled residents
-Identifying and reporting animal abuse and/or neglect
-Krav Maga self defense classes
-CPR Training
-Incident alerts for local crime, product safety recalls, extreme weather and lost or found pets
-Welcome Packets for new residents
-Our community garage sale followed by a mass donation to Volunteers of America
-Halloween Safety packets including reflector strips for all kids and their costumes
-Cans/Scrap Metal for the Block Watch fundraising
-Community Clean Up of the Brice Rd/Gender Rd, Tussing Rd, Hines Rd and Independence Park
-Community Clean Up of Vacant Houses
-Providing members with safety items such as reflective tape and shoe tags for bicycles, Halloween Costumes and clothing, security alarm stickers for residents who are unable to afford security alarms, "Call 911" magnets, safety stickers, safety pencils, coloring books for kids and brochures
