After Dr. Brossett observed several days of decreased appetite and weight loss in her cat, Mila, a feeding tube was placed to provide consistent nutritional support while the underlying cause was investigated.

An X-ray was taken to confirm proper tube placement, which is a standard step to ensure safety and effectiveness. Feeding tubes allow accurate delivery of calories, hydration, and medications, and are often a temporary medical support tool.

In this case, the nutritional support helped stabilize Mila until she began eating voluntarily again. Once she was consistently eating on her own, the feeding tube was removed. She is now feeling much better and continuing to recover well. 🩷

Just a reminder that you have until 11:00 AM on 12/23 to drop off items for our Annual Pet Drive. All donations will be delivered to the Blount County Animal Center to help pets in need this holiday season.

Can’t donate items? No worries! We also accept monetary donations year-round for our in-house Pet Donation fund, which helps local pet owners care for their beloved animals when they need it most.
